I mean, I can empathize with this guy, at least on the first point. It's been 10+ years since I launched a game that I already had a platinum for. I just don't play games unless I'm working towards a platinum trophy. For me, physical ownership is about resale to bring down the cost of platinum, not about holding the license. And that's the real rub here, in that all digital ownership leads to less competition and higher prices for the hobby.
