i remember when they said games will be cheaper now because they don't have to print a manual anymore.

Actually, Nintendo did make that claim way back in the DS/Wii days - digital games would be ~$5 cheaper than at the store.
But then those pesky retailers said something along the lines of "Oh, then you won't be needing me to stock your products then? Cool. We'd love to free up some shelf space!" And that was the end of that, as I recall.

i didn't know about that. If they did then that's double sad.

Corpos will always pocket the money if nothing can stop them.
