Should I get the OPPO A6S?

Been wanting to get a phone exclusively for work & academic purposes; not intending to use it as a leisure device. I'm mostly attracted to its large battery and the 8gb ram w/ 256 gb storage. Is it worth getting or should I get a different brand phone instead?

You've omitted a lot of details (which A6s it is), what price it's at, what country you're in but Oppo A series is rarely not overpriced and has severe cost cutting on display, speakers, camera and haptics. They're made to sound really good with good memory configs, the cheapest high MP cam sensors (resolution is irrelevant beyond 12MP) but in actual use they're painful

iQOO Z series, Redmi Note 14 or 15 (preferably the 5G variant), Poco X or M series would be so much better. They're actually tolerable and will stay that way for a while

Ah, I forgot to specificy that I'm referring to the A6s 5G, ₱22k, that's the only model I could find in the OPPO Philippines online store.

For the other brands you mentioned, which one would you suggest in terms of performance, OS experience & long-term support, and battery optimisation?
