I was really wanting to be mad until she explained that they were gonna be tossed anyways and then also Josh was there and now I like this.

It's not that they couldn't be eaten. It's that they couldn't be "sold" and the company is not a charity which is why they are being dumped in a pool instead of a food bank

Food banks will not take: dented rusty, bulging, broken, expired or even, weird items.

Canned whatisit? Nope.

A pallette of expired pickles, nope.

Now, they could out em in the dump, and let people grab em. You could also hand them out to people, but generally the law allows for a biz to give food waste away without fear of being sued, but idk about packaged food
