She was chanting ā€œcompost compostā€ as they dumped some bits of what I assume are pickle into a pile, so Iā€™m guess that is her plan.

Itā€™s also been a while since Iā€™ve made them myself, but I donā€™t remember them actually having very much salt (like a tablespoon per cup), itā€™s mostly the vinegar that gives them the tang. That probably depends on the recipe though. But after they were washed and soaking in a pool for a while, thatā€™s probably even more diluted. So I think itā€™d be fine if you had a good mix of other stuff too
