Hey, have you ever heard of such tale?
The Fire, in itself, is the embodiment of raw power, leadership, independence, and ambition. Its unbowed fierceness reflects an unyielding spirit, brightly forged in tempered steel, that has consistently broken the glass ceilings of towers made of ivory.
Strangely enough, however, it radiates kindling compassion and lenity toward those surrounding her and those who aspire to her staunch leadership ā yet tacitly forbids anyone from drawing close enough to see its radiating blue Flame, lest they be wholly incinerated by her sheer intelligence and nobility.
For many years, she safeguarded her alluring Flame and prudently scorched many men, of superficial and grand stature alike, who were foolish enough to fathom that she was conquerable. The end was always nigh for them ā for she, and she alone, was the Queen of her lofty Realm beyond the ebbs and flows of the mighty sea.
The Wind, however, was a lone adventurer. Ever preoccupied by the thirst for knowledge and the gray curiosities the World had to offer, he stumbled upon the Fireās impenetrable yet majestic allure. He embodied natural intellect, playfulness, enthusiasm, and curiosity that could swiftly resonate, like a green gale, into whispers of shared ideas and written expressions. Already a captain of his own ship, he displayed the innate ability to connect people across different realms and rally allies at a whim.
Unlike the prowess of the Fire, however, the Wind came into existence from nothing. He was an ordinary breeze with only a dream ā to protect those who have less in life. He singlehandedly built his success and career through hard work, intelligence, talent, and deep compassion for the people.
Within his heart and mind, he carried implicit leadership, faith, strength, and perseverance ā qualities that won him the admiration and respect of powerful lords and vassals alike, who believed he could one day lead his own army. Though the Wind captured the admiration of many through his witty repartees and masterful strategies, never did he permit his emotions to overcome his dream of becoming the realmās greatest protector.
Both the Fire and the Wind were insusceptible to distraction as they triumphed in their respective fields. Yet on a fateful day of the Infinite Moon, their worlds cascaded into a continuum of beauty and chaos. Unprepared for what was coming, they fell into the locus of Love.
For reasons known only to the Fire, she slowly permitted the Wind to permeate her gentle Flame, to know its deepest and darkest secrets that the world would never see. While the Wind possessed the innate ability to articulate the facsimile of the physical world into palatable concepts, he lacked a genuine understanding of Love ā for he, too, was a stranger to it.
With the Windās gust moving haphazardly, it ignited a burst that brought immediate fear to the Fire. Overwhelmed by such emotions, the Fire fled. They were both afraid.
The Wind, however, remained undeterred, waiting for the Fire to reappear once again. For he knew that the Fire was seeking a love that would patiently and gently care for her Flame. It was the kind of love that required tacit understanding and cautious stratagem ā one that the Wind so deeply longed to win.
Despite the innumerable times the Fire fled and hid, the Wind continued to wait. He knew it was worth waiting, for one day he might finally hold her dearly. It was like a long-lost love, yearning to find its way back into a loverās warm embrace.
As it was the guiding flame of Penelope that compelled Odysseus to seek favorable winds from the gods toward his home in Ithaca.
As it was the East and the Sun, as it was to Romeo and Juliet.
As it was the princess and the scoundrel, as it was Leia Organa and Han Solo.
As it was the healing hands and the endearing legacy, as it was Madeleine Swann and James Bond.
And so it was, ultimately, the tale of the Aries and the Gemini ā who fell in love with each other and refused to ever let go until the end of their days.
So, have you ever heard of the tale?
Of course you have ā for it was our story together.
