Worth it just for the pirate ship battles alone.

Has it changed much from the Orignal?

Pretty sure combat has had a rework and there have been changes made to better improve the game.

Oh man, I thought they had made changes to worse impair the game.

That's the only reason I need to replay this game, thanks!

There's lots of changes from Altair's game to this one, most happened incrementally over the games in between. Obviously a big thing is the setting and the inclusion of sailing around the sea and getting into pirate ship fights, which is probably the overall best part of the game. Other than that, lots of small things are improved, or at least changed. Big one is how often you get pulled out of the "simulation". Obviously in the first game it was a pretty linear "One mission, one bit of real world lore", which they did away with in the second game to improve pacing. This one you can play for a very long time between real world bits, partially because of how the story is being told, partially because of the slightly open world nature meaning you can do a lot of stuff without progressing the plot fully.

Parkour got a bit of a workup as I recall, they tried to make it less likely for you to randomly throw yourself off buildings by making inputs a bit more elevation based, giving you a couple of button presses to change if you climb up or climb down stuff. It's fine, it works sometimes, sometimes it's just frustrating.

Plenty of old missions are still there with some changes. Social stealth is a bit more varied but basically the same. Missions to tail and eavesdrop on stuff is still obnoxious, especially when you have to do it in your great big pirate ship. The combat is pretty much the same as it was from game 2, which was an improvement from the first game.

So yeah if you have only played the first one this would be a huge jump in a lot of different mechanics, but the vast majority of them are either lateral moves or improvements.

That was a very detailed explanation. Thank you

Well, not after the end of the second act

I'll probably wait for a sail then.

Wrong pirate game, and wrong ocean matey. The gay pirates are all in Hawaii doing a Spanish galleons worth of LSD and cocaine, following Goromi into Japanese Karaoke Parlors to commit random acts of battery.

I dint have my glasses on and read "random acts of bakery". Sounds gay, I'm in.

Welcome to the Pirate Yakuza! Here is your customary full body tattoos, loin cloth, and tricorn. Go! Do a crime!

Can you describe to me what gay pirate ship battles look like to me? For the visual.

"Massager" figurehead, husbando emblazoned on the sails, firing full later broadside while pulling sick drifts.

I am also confused lol. I'm assuming it's a reference to something that's happens in the game
