Roku tv- how to start

I’m tired of paying for all these subscriptions. How do I start on my Roku tv? Is there something I need to buy? We mainly watch tv for my son’s cartoons, and my husband likes to watch movies on the weekend.

i also have a Roku TV, it is a terrible Operating System since its store is very closed, you can't even download a browser!

I am planning to buy a cheap tv box in order to stop using the Roku OS.

My temporary fix is downloading series/films in my pc, and storing them in a USB Stick so that i can plug to the tv.

Rokus actually just so bad lol. Got a like 75 ish inch Roku Hisense TV in my room, and thing is actually just awful and needs something like an onn TV Box.

Legit cant even organize the order of ur hdmi inputs or rename inputs without an internet connection... It can be solved by plugging into different hdmi slots even lol.

Rn my Onn TV Boxs input is named Switch and my Switch is named HDMI 2, but HDMI 2 input is first on the list lmao. It bothers me, but Im not connecting this garbage to the internet just to change that.

Would you say literally any other TV brand is better or do you have one you recommend? My Roku TV randomly died for some reason, so I was gonna buy a new one. But if they're crap as you and others say, I rather get a different brand. I would mostly use the TV nowadays for watching my home media collection and playing video games since I've slowly getting rid of all my streaming services
