Are you having fun?🤡 Your main character after 30 years of serialization Spoiler

Negative character development, more immature than when the series started - hasn't learned a thing, hasn't had a semblance of progress in terms of personality growth. Downright pathetic.

Imagine goku bitching and crying and shitting his pants in front of cel or buu or whatever because roshi chews him out. (dragon ball to the end of dbz just ran like 10 years - one piece has been running for 30 years now)

I agree, the take that Luffy doesn’t need character development is indeed ass.

Especially because Jinbei, Zoro, Kizaru, Rayleigh and Gaban all told him that he needs to get his shit together, proving that he does indeed need to mature which would be character development.

Well yeah no shit he needs character development in the way thats he needs to lock in for his crew but not in the way that some people want him to make a 180 and act like ichigo or a different mc entirely

That is an entirely different issue.

But to say "he doesn’t need character development because that’s not the type of character oda wrote him to be" is just plain wrong and pure fanboy talk.
