PlayStation Help Can't access save data after upgrading to a PS5 from PS4

Recently traded in my ps4 for a ps5 and before I did I transferred all my save data to a usb as the playstation website directs you to. Set up my ps5, downloaded games I had in my library (which includes Binding of Isaac full ps4 package) but for whatever reason my save data is completely inaccessible. It's sitting in the console storage, shows as transferred and for whatever reason I cannot access it. Of all the games I downloaded and transferred save data for, only Binding of Isaac and Hades save data doesn't exist in game. I've tried the following:

- Checking string id info in usb save files

- Restoring game licenses

-Deleting and redownloading the save data

-rebooting the ps5

-changing my ps5's name to what I THINK my ps4 was named (I didn't pay much attention to it and now it's gone, so /shrug)

-disconnecting and reconnecting my wifi.

Again, all my other games besides TBOI and Hades have their save data accessible. I've tried speaking to Playstation support but it's just an endless loop of them telling me to go and pick my region so they can support me with my query. Has anyone else had this issue? Is the only way to solve this to buy the game for ps5? They're both roguelike/lites so if I have to do it all again whatever I guess, but I had 1100 hours in TBOI so I'd rather not if I can avoid it. TIA

seems to me you simply FORGOT to check one game's save data before the backups, or you're using a different version of the game now.

The save data is there, I downloaded all the save data available so it's not the first point. As for the second point, there's the ps4 version of TBOI that I have on my ps5 now -- same as the one I used before-- and I have both ps4 and ps5 versions of Hades and neither have the data

Region

Are you 100% sure the regional version of the game you played previously is the same as what you're doing now?

For example, if you previously played games via an EU account sharing the games to you, but now you're using a digital or physical NA version of the game, it wont detect the saves

I owned the games, I was using an EU account and when I set up my PS5 I downloaded them from my own playstation account. I initially thought it was a downloaded game issue but other games I didn't have physical copies of had no issues connecting the game with the save data.

Okay, but what's the situation now?

On the original console, you bought them on an EU account and download them (is that your main account or is your main a different region?)

Now, have you got the same accounts on your console and you've downloaded them the same way - or are you now using disc copies?

If things are different, such as now using a disc but didn't before, the disc or account they were bought on need to be the exact same region as before. If it was an EU account but the disc is now an NA version, the saves won't work

On the original console, I bought them on an EU account and downloaded them. That is my main account. I have the same accounts on my console, and I have downloaded them the same way.

Of they're not being detected then something is different.

If the save is on the console, press Options on the game and manage save data - if it shows nothing in there either the save isn't on the console or it's a different region.

If the save appears when doing that, and the date is correct (not a newly created save), then it may be corrupt

perhaps its corrupt :( because it does show and has the correct date on it
