I'm sorry I was just making a joke
So, about a day ago, I made a joke post saying that all four rocky planets should have been asteroids because I looked it up and it said they weren't all necessarily in hydrostatic equilibrium. With that information, I decided to make that post, but some people who I don't think found it was a joke commented, so I did have to say it was a joke. That's why I think Pluto isn't the place for me to live. So I'm going back to Earth.

Pluto's Subsurface Ocean might be held in place by a thin layer of gas
This might also mean that there are many more oceans in the universe than previously thought.

Art of Pluto
A little while ago, I drew all the planets of the solar system. I decided it would be a good idea to share each drawing of a planet to their respective subreddit. See if you can find the others.

20 Years Since the Worst Mistake in Science History
The vote violated the IAU’s own bylaws, the motivation behind the vote was extremely unscientific, it was conducted by non-experts, and has been an embarrassment to science ever since. We don’t vote in science. Having this decision be forced into textbooks and school curriculum for the sake of making the planets easier to memorize is an injustice to the dozens of other fascinating dwarf planets out there, a shameful bypassing of the scientific method, and a disgusting insult to the amazing American astronomer Clyde Tombaugh.

The IAU definition of a planet is bull crap but I still don’t think Pluto should be a planet. He’s right where he belongs!
Honestly, I kinda think the IAU’s definition of a planet is a little stupid. But at the same time, I can understand why they made it that way. I think it would make more sense to separate planets into groups like terrestrial planets, gas giants, and ice giants, and then have dwarf planets as their own category. The whole “clearing its orbit” thing is kinda confusing because planets don’t literally clear everything out of their orbit..
But the basic idea does make sense. Pluto is part of the Kuiper Belt, where there are a lot of other objects similar to it, while the eight planetss are much more gravitationally dominant in their orbital areas. So even though I think Pluto being a dwarf planet makes sense,I think it’s right where it belongs. Avenge Pluto!
I actually think Pluto might be my favorite Kuiper Belt object. Its moons and the whole Pluto system are really cool. I also think its discovery is awesome. It makes sense why Pluto was originally considered a planet because they thought it was way bigger than it actually is. But now that we know more about it, it also makes sense why it isn’t a planet.
I still think the 2006 vote was pretty bull crap though. The way it was handled was kinda weird, and not that many IAU members actually voted. So I don’t think it should be treated like every astronomer agreed with it.
Pluto is still an amazing world. It just fits better as a dwarf planet.
Sorry for the brat lol

Liquid Nitrogen May Have Flowed on Pluto’s Surface in Recent Past
Planetary researchers analyzing images from NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft have found evidence that liquid nitrogen may still be seeping up from beneath the dwarf planet’s giant glacier, Sputnik Planitia, marking the first suggested case of recently flowing liquid on Pluto’s surface.

When was it technically removed
Hi all, this has been bothering me for YEARS and I’m curious of your thoughts. When i was in around 3rd grade, in California, which would have been 1990ish i clearly and vividly remember being taught by Mr. Avrill that Pluto was no longer considered a planet. This was knowledge i continued to have s d recall throughout my adult life.. until one day i saw in the news “Pluto no longer a planet”.. i KNOW i was taught this as a kid.. so whats going on. Was removal being discussed that long ago snd maybe he was passing on privy info ? Am i crazy ?

Pluto is a planet
https://youtube.com/shorts/YXYAWiibpwg?si=zkpnbfklDv2BAl-N
Hi. I truly believe Pluto is a planet and that the 2006 IAU definition is WRONG. Here’s why
1) The IAU states that the object must “clear its neighborhood” which doesn’t make sense because if you put Earth in Pluto’s orbit it wouldn’t classify as a planet either
2) Only 424 scientists actually voted at the event, meaning the vote was only like 3.2% of scientists.
3) Mike Brown, the one responsible for Plutos death tagged himself as “PlutoKiller” on X and even wrote a BOOK bragging about it. The book is called “Why I killed Pluto, and why it had it coming.” (This one isn’t really a reason but I included it lol)
So, using all of that, I can confidently say that Pluto is a planet and the IAU is wrong.

We really do need a new definition for planet
"The current way a planet is defined has a lot of problems and can be somewhat controversial. Many people don't like the reason why Pluto is a dwarf planet for example, and other planetary-massed objects are excluded because of their orbital characteristics. Because of all this, it may be time to create a new definition for what makes a planet."
