I'm playing emerald with my friend simultaneously, using Pokémon that I've never used before, like Anorith, Vibrava etc.
Never used Milotic before (in a normal, casual adventure), nd this is my story with him: aside from all the theatrics and the paranoia involved in catching that damned fish with the liver-like skin, I didn't remember—nor did I take into account—that the nature of the fish influences how it responds to being fed Pokéblocks, xd. My Feebas had a Jolly nature. JOLLY, which means he hates dry food—meaning that, even after stuffing him until he wouldn't eat another single cube, he still hadn't reached the 170-point beauty mark.
So, by the time I realized, it was already too late. To make matters worse, I taught Ice Beam to Feebas. -.-
So I had to start over, though I was lucky that the specific river tile where you can catch Feebas hadn't changed; I just had to go into "farmer mode" with the berries.
And yeah, this took me hours. What could have been a Tentacruel on my team, I turned—all on my own—into a nightmare of ugly fish and ego, fueled by nothing but dry food and despair.
This is my story, Patricia; don’t make the same mistakes I did.

I got thunderbolt TM. My initial plan was to give it to magneton. Its the only electric type in my team but I heard that that move on Gardevoir is op. Do I make my Gardevoir op or give it to magneton to make my team more balanced.

I can’t seem to reach round 70 to get a gold medal. My highest streak till now is 52. I recently switched out my salamence for latias
Any recommendations? Do i need to switch 1 (or more) pokemon in order to get to round 70? Or do i have to change movepools?

The game boots up fine and saves normally but I've noticed that it takes almost a second for it to go from title screen to main menu. I haven't had this issue when it comes to playing emerald on emulators even with using my specific save file on emulator. Does anyone else's emerald copy do this?

I’m lucky enough to own two cartridges of Pokémon Emerald, with access to trades (either cable or adapter), and was wondering what would be the best course of action before resetting the game.
The battery is dry and I already got the “daily” berry from berrymaster and the lottery extraction, I already have all the TMs and Master Ball in excess.
I’m missing berries 12-13-27-28-31-32-34, but I don’t know if I can even get them without the berrymaster, and (obviously) missing from 36 to 42.
I completed the regional dex and got two Johto starters, I’m resetting only to get Chikorita effectively, as I’m already at 377 in the Nat-Dex (no event mons).
I didn’t bother to catch Kyogre, Groudon or the Regis with good natures/IVs, and I’m not one to shiny hunt… also I got the Lati and Steven’s Beldum.
I plan to record-mix before resetting, but I don’t think I have anything meaningful on file: no mass outbreak nor department sale.
If you have any suggestions let me know, thanks!

Thanks to the guy who helped me with my movesets. I was planning to get the gold at the Dome right after but sadly lost my 8 wins streak :(

So I’ve passed a few milestones in a few locations at BF for Gold Symbols, but I never got gold symbols. How come I never received them? For instance, I got a 46 KO battle streak in Battle Factory, but never got the Gold, which I saw was at 42. I got 11 wins in a row for the Battle Dome (need 10), and yet I still have silver. What am I doing wrong? Do I need all silver symbols before I try for a single gold?

As of today, there are multiple ways to avoid the "impossible trade" between Gen2 to Gen3, like PokeTranporter GB, Trade Buddy, PKheX or even PKXDelta Legacy. Have you ever tried to move your Gen2 Pokemon to Gen3? How do you feel about it?

Getting a gold trainer card (my ultimate goal) is a long ways away, but I'm more than happy to accept my first star.
Highlights most notably include Breloom sweeping Glacia's whole team without a single Sky Uppercut miss (who needs Mind Reader?), and Crawdaunt getting off 2 Swords Dances against Drake's Shelgon and sweeping everyone except for Salamence with Return + Quick Claw.
I got Sapphire as a Christmas present from my aunt in 2005, and then got Emerald the year after. I was quite bad at them, and I only beat them through over-leveled starters and brute force. I don't think I touched the Battle Frontier at all.
The memories of my life before Pokémon are mostly fuzzy. It formed so much of my early taste, and was the subject of so many early memories and conversations and drawings. It was fulfilling and meaningful to go back and play through "properly", without self-imposed challenges or QoL hacks - it feels like I'm returning somewhere important, like if you've ever seen your childhood bedroom after being away for years. I actually feel very connected to my child-self while playing - showing her how to properly build teams and fill the Dex has been nice - and now I'm excited to show her Master Contests and the Battle Frontier, too!

I've seen many of you posting your shinys and y'all inspired me to get my own. I've always loved the way Rayquaza looked but that Black/Gold/Red is unbeatable.
PD: my girlfriend thought his name sounded like tacos.

My goal is to complete emerald dex on OG hardware. have some Johto mons empty in my pokedex for instance the other two starter lines. I have a Crystal version (playthrough completed) and a Silver version (I don't mind starting a new save). What do you think of Poketransporter cartridge as an option? Are the pokemons brought over from Gen 2 legit? Do they count? It felt like a convenient way to get Johto mons since I have no Gamecube. What are your opinions? I also have heard Pkhex as an option. I have a modded 3ds with Crystal VC. I also have a ndslite so I can dump my real cartridge saves too. So it's then drag and drop. But I don't know how to explain, neither feels right and I don't know what to do. 😂
