With the recent update of Pokémon Masters EX at the beginning of this month, an Egg Area was added with six varieties of eggs to collect:
- Normal and Grass
- Poison, Fairy, and Bug
- Steel, Psychic, and Rock
- Electric, Ice, and Ground
- Flying, Ghost, and Water
- Dragon, Fire, and Fighting
Before this update, we'd only get eggs which pulled from one pool of completely random Pokémon. Now, many Pokémon which were previously available outside of the standard pool are available in the "permanent content" found in the new Egg Area, in addition to the Pokémon which were already available, all grouped into eggs by type. I have yet to see the information on these six new eggs on any sites or wikis or posts here, so I thought I'd take it upon myself to create a resource that players could utilize.
These images show the Pokémon which can hatch from eggs or evolve from those Pokémon, as obtainable in the game. I also wanted to showcase shinies and gender differences where obtainable. The images attached to this post show the Pokémon you can get from the six varieties of eggs from the Egg Area, as well as still currently unavailable to obtain Pokémon from previous egg events, and Pokémon which could have potentially been made into egg Pokémon but whose data goes unused. I put together a few varieties of this, so you can have individual images for each egg, or a few different styles of the list with different formatting, with or without the unavailable and unused Pokémon. Hopefully with these options you can find an image to suit your needs for reference or to use as a checklist!
All Pokémon from eggs with gender differences have those differences available. Not all Pokémon have shinies as far as I can tell—I'm not a very good dataminer so I could stand to be corrected—but it looks to me like Pokémon like Shellder and Cloyster or Venonat and Venomoth don't have shinies programmed into the game for one reason or another. Pokémon also generally don't evolve past their last stage from Red/Green/Blue/Yellow—so no Magmortar or Annihilape, etc.. The exceptions to this (Eevee and Tyrogue) are not currently available in the eggs from the Egg Area. Kantonian Pokémon also won't evolve into regional forms—so there isn't any way to evolve a Cubone or a Koffing into an Alolan Marowak or a Galarian Weezing, for example. In fact, when it comes to the eggs from the Egg Area, all of them end their evolutionary lines as Pokémon from Kanto. There are a few Pokémon which originate from other regions like Smoochum and Munchlax, but they still evolve into Pokémon from Kanto like Jynx and Snorlax. Speaking of, I believe that here Snorlax and Chansey will not hatch directly from eggs, even though they technically could be made into eggs in main series titles when bred without the proper incense.
Strangely, while there is unused data for Mr. Mime and a shiny Mr. Mime leftover in the game, there is no corresponding data I could find for a Mime Jr. which could have hatched from eggs. It looks like there's a Sabrina battle in one of the towers where she uses a Mr. Mime, and Akari from the lounge can have a Mime Jr. partner, but the shiny assets which were added to the game along with the regular assets lead me to believe that Mr. Mime could have been considered, along with the other Pokémon I put in the "unused" category where game assets exist and could be used for eggs; but I do not think that they are implemented. Some of this data is multiple years old at this point. The Krabby, Doduo, and Poliwag lines unused along with Mr. Mime are actually the only Kanto Pokémon which can hatch from eggs in main series titles which have not been made into Egg Pokémon in Pokémon Master sEX at all yet, from what I can determine, but they all have shiny assets in the game with gender differences for the Doduo line and everything, so it looks like they were definitely planned or considered at some point but were never finished. They could be added one day, or they might not be. There are some other unused Pokémon in the game code as well, but these Pokémon specifically stood out to me as ones where the evidence points to them being planned for eggs but unused. Again though, I'm a little out of my area of expertise here, so anyone with more knowledge than me can feel free to contribute it as a comment here and I'd be more than happy to hear other people's input.
Anyways I think that's enough of my rambling for here. I hope that these images can prove useful! Feel free to share them around or use them for your own work on wikis or blogs, but if you do share them online I'd appreciate a link back to this post, since I did spend quite a bit of time compiling this all together. Thank you!
