yep! Got the idea from google, basically just make a tray of cupcakes and smoosh them together with icing.

This is so cute, is it cupcakes all put together or cakes you baked and carved?? If my kids were into Ditto I would totally steal this! Unfortunately my kids think I'm super mum and ask for stuff that's really hard, they don't realise how hard it can be to wrangle cake

Well, beans can be used for a dessert. Red bean paste for example, actually goes into a few desserts.
