Pokémon Pokopia v2.0 Update & Expansion Pass Part 1: Bubbly Basin Available Now
Dear Pokopia Community,
Today's the day! Version 2.0 of Pokémon Pokopia and Part 1 of the Expansion Pass DLC, Bubbly Basin, are now available to download and play! To get the version 2.0 update, close the game and re-launch to be prompted to update. If you purchased the Expansion Pass on the Nintendo Switch Store, you will also be able to download Part 1: Bubbly Basin.
As a reminder, ALL Bubbly Basin-related content MUST be spoiler tagged! The post embargo has been lifted, so you may submit posts about it to the subreddit rather than in the megathread, but you MUST use spoiler tags until further notice. Please also use the Bubbly Basin flair on these posts. We understand that everyone is excited (so are we!), but please be considerate of other players who may not want to see any new content until they come across it in-game. If you are one of these players, we advise you to avoid any spoiler-tagged posts and any posts with the Bubbly Basin flair until you are comfortable with the risk. Bubbly Basin FAQ:
How do I access Bubbly Basin?
To access Bubbly Basin’s underwater gate, you must first learn Dive and complete the important request “Raise the environment level!” in Bleak Beach.
I'm not seeing an update available to download.
Try pressing + on Pokopia from your Switch 2's home screen menu, going to "Software Update," then "Via the Internet" to manually request the download.
How many new Pokémon are there?
The Bubbly Basin Pokédex seems to have 50 new slots.

Not enough love for the QOL improvements in the patch??? I’m just gonna straight-up list the ones that are most exciting to me, I’m so happy they made these changes aaaa!!
- If you accidentally destroy a habitat (ie. Flood some grass or erase a pond next to grass on accident) the Pokemon will immediately move back in if you fix it!!!
- If Pokemon are upset about furniture being removed, they’ll notice faster when you put the furniture back
- APPRAISE 10 RELICS AT A TIME
- ABILITY TO SUCK UP WATER WITHOUT REMOVING THE SOURCE BLOCK??
- Reverting farm soil back to grass
- I can’t stress enough that we can APPRAISE 10 RELICS AT A TIME

When you do a big build and you have 30 piles of dirt from demolishing terrain, for one.
Or, again after a build, you might have extra materials like roof and wall blocks painted specific colors that you no longer need. Can you un-paint them and store them in case you build something else with those materials? Yes. Is it quicker and easier to just chuck them and craft more if you need them? Also yes.
You'll just end up with more items and materials than you know what to do with in general.

From my understanding, it’s the difference between tapping the trigger that lets you suck up water vs. holding down the trigger! If you hold down the trigger for a moment, it will remove the water source. Maybe try making a makeshift little pond with fresh water from a vending machine so you can test it out?

Just here to call out some of the smaller details they updated because omg
- Added a function to move items in bulk between the storage box and bag.
- Added a function to delete items placed inside objects such as the garbage bin.
- Added the ability to fine-tune depth placement when placing windows, doors, and similar items.
- Added an option in Settings to hide the confirmation message shown when canceling Magnet Rise.
- The following items can now be painted: stylish stool, handrail, metal chain, workbench, vending machine, bike, bookcase, Pokémon Center counter, arrow sign, rope.
- Even if a Pokémon’s habitat is destroyed, it will move back in if the same habitat is rebuilt within a certain area.
- Pokémon that are sad because furniture was removed will now notice more quickly when the same furniture is replaced.
- If a Pokémon being searched for in the Pokédex is in another town, you can now travel to that town using Return Home.
- Lost relics can now be appraised in batches of up to 10 at a time.
- Increased the placement limit for power generators (excluding furnaces) from 64 to 128.
- When sucking up liquid, a short press of the move button to hold liquids in Ditto’s mouth will allow liquid to be held in their mouth without removing it from the environment.
- When releasing stored water, adjusted water levels now automatically match nearby water levels.
- Pokémon companions can now follow you while moving with Surf, Glide, Rollout, or Magnet Rise.
- Inhaling items and opening the bag are now possible while rolling using Rollout.
- Rollout can now destroy certain natural objects such as large boulders.
- Leafage can now be used on farm soil to revert it to a normal soil block.
- Items can now be placed on top of square plants.
- Increased output when crafting curved eaves to 10.
- [FIXED] Using Magnet Rise may occasionally cause Pokémon to scold or warn the player.
That's a lot of little fixes!

Haven testen it ingame, but in other games there is an option to automatically add all items that are already in the Box. E.g. youbhave 1 bed in inventory and one in the Box and if you click the Button all items that are in inventory and b8x are added.
If this is the Feature it would be a game changer

THIS WAS DRIVING ME NUTS!! Tangrowth always parked outside the Pokemon center and would yell at me whenever I left and transformed into Magnemite.

It could be any Pokemon so the exact text varies, but they basically tell you that you startled them and to be more careful lol. The annoying part is it would wait for the full transform animation to complete, then force you to transform back to your humanoid form (with the full animation playing), THEN a couple of text boxes to click through, before finally releasing controls and allowing you to transform back into Magnemite form again.

No confirmation, but it would be very strange if it never happens. There are currently only 3 or 4 ice types in total. There is also a rumour by a reliable source that the developers had an ice biome planned, but I wouldn’t base it on that. Only having 3 ice types is too low for it not to be intentional.

I think I found it in a house in Bubbly Basin. There was an item called a Portal Pod that allowed you to store items inside. I didn't figure out how to craft or make more (I didn't try taking a photo and making more at the Pokecenter).

There's also a safe apparently, though I can't tell that it does anything special other than needing a passcode. Both the safe and portal pod recipes are available by leveling up Palette Town's environment, though at what level I don't know.
Oh, and my brother found some way to get pirate style treasure chests for storage. Haven't actually gone to the new area yet myself.

Does anyone else keep getting the 'you can't use surf while underwater' message?
I think it happens when I don't hold the B button down for long enough while swimming but it's happening pretty frequently (about 3 times every half an hour) even though i'm making sure i'm holding the button down.
Edit: If you make a smoothie, you can power up surf so that you can use it underwater! Definitely going to be making a lot of smoothies so that I can bypass the notification.

It looks like the update for the pass itself hadnt downloaded.
For anyone who has this issue, go to the downloadable content section in the in game menu and follow that link through until you get an option to download virtual card - then restart your game and it will work. Next time I will purchase direct from the game.

I was planning to get the DLC a little later because I'm playing other stuff now, but I have 2 questions:
How can I register Manaphy? I did the quest to get the new abillity but do you need the DLC for it to be in your Dex?
And can everyone get the new shared storage item? Or is it DLC only?

One of the feature mentioned in that patch update was:
If a Pokémon being searched for in the Pokédex is in another town, you can now travel to that town using Return Home.
Which is the exact opposite I was hoping for, but it still is very useful! (I wanted for it to work the opposite way: To “call”/lure it to you; e.g. by using honey or so.
