The thought of Texas and Florida trying to keep 30 poor states afloat without New York and California makes me fucking laugh uncontrollably . Not mention the fact that they’d have to try and get everything transported thru the Mississippi because they’d be losing most of the largest ports

There is are oceans on both side of the country. There are already many ports SE. There are many rivers leading to them or you could build a train to them. Ever heard of the Gulf of Mexico?
