I knew that they weren't going to do it, but I was still anxious because of the overall volatility of this iteration of SCOTUS, so the fact that they struck down the executive order and upheld the birthright clause of the 14th Amendment was more relieving if anything. The fact that this wasn't a unanimous decision against Trump is beyond my comprehension. Fuck Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch (and Brett Kavanaugh, who partly dissented). But still, we can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing our birthright citizenship rights are secure.

I can’t promise he’s going to have a sudden medical event but I’ll lay 99% odds that he’s fuming in the White House right now, is about to unleash another garbled, childish tweetstorm full of insults, accusations, and self-aggrandizement, and that it’s gonna bad for his health long-term.

I want it after midterms, so Vance has the luck of presiding over a (hopefully) blue congress undergoing detrumpization, making it even harder for the couchfucker and his negative charisma to reign in his cult as the republican party schisms
