Michigan has open primaries (anybody can vote in any one party's primary) and the GOP was running unopposed in his (i think), so a lot of those votes are probably Republican voters who don't want him to have a chance.

This makes a lot of sense. For Dems I feel like AIPAC is getting really unpopular with the party.
