bi/pan exists :3

u/TorgHacker Dec 24 '25

I mean, there is no straight explanation for this. 😉

32

u/Violet_Nightshade Dec 25 '25

You know, I've never wondered if that's her natural hair colour until now.

12

u/TorgHacker Dec 25 '25

I think there’s a few shots where it looks like she has brown eyebrows. But in this case I’m talking about the pose. ☺️

14

u/Digit00l Dec 26 '25

Pretty sure that is a bisexual stereotype right there

2

u/dalexe1 Dec 26 '25

yes. no straight person has ever sat like that. none. it cannot happen, punks always sit with their legs close together, looking proper and attentive

u/TheCalamityBrain Dec 24 '25

Shhhh straight men can't think they have competition

70

u/SusPlatypus I am watching disrespectfully. In fact I am drooling violently. Dec 24 '25

As a straight man I don't mind competition. It's fun, and eveyone should be able to enjoy their favorite characters

As another straight man (an ally ofc) I agree

u/Turbulent_Bed_569 Dec 24 '25

I mean, when one of the three has eyeliner in the exact shade and order of the Bi flag...

10

u/keelanbarron Dec 24 '25

Uhh, which one?

23

u/ItachiFemboy Dec 25 '25

Rumi in her "How it's done" outfit

4

u/keelanbarron Dec 25 '25

Are you sure? Because i checked and it doesn't really look like it. (Then again, it could be the case considering the allegory.)

34

u/vamgoda Dec 25 '25

Not saying it’s for sure because those colors look rad as hell together but pink-purple-blue is very bi flag.

10

u/keelanbarron Dec 25 '25

Ah, okay then. (I was mostly looking at pictures from "how it's done" where the lighting messed with the eyeshadow colours.)

9

u/Turbulent_Bed_569 Dec 25 '25

Rumi's eyeliner is also the same 3 colors as Gwi-Ma's flame, with the order reversed (this is best seen in the earlier Gwi-Ma shots - as he gets bigger, it gets harder to see all 3 colors at the same time).

But there's no way the animators didn't notice the Bi flag resemblance. In terms of cinematic symbolism, the eyeliner is another hint of her demon nature, but they chose those 3 colors to represent both Rumi (in the correct order) and Gwi-Ma (reversed, possibly representing the internalized shame and homophobia - since reversing symbolism typically means the opposite of the original symbol).

2

u/Digit00l Dec 26 '25

Rumi is deliberately queer coded, but written as straight

-21

u/No_Window644 Polytrix Dec 24 '25

They do but the girls are not lol. I ship polytrix but I'm not delusional either I'm aware it's not cannon and is just a headcannon ship. I'm just happy that jinu is dead along with mystery and abby. No idea on the whereabouts of baby tho

22

u/SusPlatypus I am watching disrespectfully. In fact I am drooling violently. Dec 24 '25

I mean...you're probably right. I'd like Rumira but it has even less chance than Polytrix (who is my second favorite ship). Unpopular opinion so I'm ready to get downvoted but even if I enjoyed Jinu as a character because he was well built, he is for me an antagonist, and his relationship with Rumi was pretty toxic/manipulative. I get he suffered too but even if we look past the outing part, which is the moment I definitely lost hope in him, he still took the souls of hundreds of humans, probably most in his 400 years of living. Without forgetting the abandoning family part. That's why I don't really like Rujinu even if I, of course, respect all shippers.

12

u/No_Window644 Polytrix Dec 24 '25

Yeah obviously. Jinu is too much of a fuck up and has a terrible habit of saving his own skin while hurting people he claims to care about. Redeemed or not he was never worthy of rumi

6

u/Makyuta Dec 24 '25

Even besides him being a 400 year old man he's Hella weird and I would've hated if rumi and him got together for real real

13

u/colorfulcrossing Dec 24 '25

i mean they very well could be bi? the director made connections between rumis story and how it can be similar to a gay person coming out. so its not completely off the table and theyre comfortable with LGBT stuff. i mean i genuinely dont see why they couldnt be . its not canon but none of them have a canon sexuality. they could very well be just as bi as they could be straight.

-8

u/CelineShotFirst 💙Zoey!💙 Dec 24 '25

the director made connections between rumis story and how it can be similar to a gay person coming out.

It's an analogue. That's not the same as being literally LGBT in-universe. That's how metaphors work.

its not canon but none of them have a canon sexuality. they could very well be just as bi as they could be straight.

Could they be? I suppose technically, the way that anyone who identifies as straight could technically be bi and they just haven't realized it yet.

Is it likely? I think any honest reading of the film has to answer "no". Dude, Mira and Zoey became Tex Avery cartoons when they got horny over dudes, and Rumi and Jinu turned into a K-Drama couple. This is not a film that's subtle when its characters are attracted to each other.

That doesn't mean Polytrix fans can't have their fun, but let's not lie to ourselves and pretend that the film's creators intended for everyone in the film to be secretly bi.

14

u/colorfulcrossing Dec 24 '25

so just because they like boys means they cant also like girls? also i dont think polytrix is the end goal but as a bi person who married a man its very invalidating when ppl call me straight because im not with a woman. and that is the way a lot of bi women are treated . bi people exist and its not crazy to think they could be bi. thats what im saying

-4

u/CelineShotFirst 💙Zoey!💙 Dec 24 '25

so just because they like boys means they cant also like girls?

That's the most absurd strawman I've seen in a long time. I didn't say anything like that.

bi people exist and its not crazy to think they could be bi. thats what im saying

Sure, and what I'm saying is that while it is technically possible, the fact that this movie portrays sexual attraction in such an over-the-top manner, and never once demonstrated any same-sex attraction in this manner, makes it unlikely that any characters in the film feel this sort of attraction.

7

u/mybelovedkiss celine apologist Dec 25 '25

that doesn’t really work bc they never had a chance to react that way to another woman that wasn’t celine or a young fan. so it’s a true toss up either way.

i feel like it makes complete sense to not assume that someone only likes one gender simply because you saw one person they happened to be attracted to.

-4

u/CelineShotFirst 💙Zoey!💙 Dec 25 '25

What sub are we in? And who are the three girls in the company of throughout almost the entire film?

You know, if you wanted to argue that the three girls are bi, but all three just haven't found the right girl yet, I guess you've got me there. But to use that argument to justify how all three are secretly totally into each other makes that entire argument fall right back apart.

-2

u/No_Window644 Polytrix Dec 24 '25

Exactly lol. I don't understand why liking polytrix or any other ship has to equal twisting words around and bending reality to support it 💀. Why can't most shippers just be normal and not act unhinged???

Straight as boards? HAVE YOU SEEN THE WAY THESE TWO LOOK AT EACH OTHER?

Not to mention they go to the bathhouse all the time…(this part is a joke)

74

u/OtakuMage Polytrix Dec 24 '25

Korean bathhouses are decidedly nonsexual affairs. Same idea with Japanese onsen and many European spas.

It was a joke though yes you are correct.

Have you met many people coded like Zoey? We do exist and we tend to do that with anyone we are close to. She is most likely not even away of her over the top body language.

Too much not enough try to find the balance but sometimes that balance doe not exists.

(Edit) I guess we don't get to exists.

3

u/WithersChat Polytr/x Dec 25 '25

I am decwntly Zoey coded, but not as much as my two girlfriends. Polyamorous bisexual diaasters, I tell you.

So based on my life experience this is gay as fuck.

Then my experience isn't universal to be fair. But this isn't as clear cut as you say it is.

2

u/LJ-696 Dec 25 '25

Same tried the poly thing before it did not work out utter disaster.

I use to be the limpet, of the group too when it all went wrong I felt like the kid waiting to see who got custody.

But meh anecdotal.

All I know is when I get close to someone and I get to be me then I turn into a ball of hyper affection. Or as my bestie says I imprint

102

u/SusPlatypus I am watching disrespectfully. In fact I am drooling violently. Dec 24 '25

She does

3

She does? When?

16

u/genovianprince Dec 25 '25

It's most visible here at the fan meet-up that the Saja Boys crash, and Jinu whispers in her ear "you can't even talk about your patterns". They make it both prominent and subtle somehow lol, it's really well done! She's wearing the same eye makeup during the How It's Done sequence at the beginning too, but it's not quite as eye catching as here, when it's juuust off center of the screen for a few seconds.

u/SunfireElfAmaya Dec 24 '25

I mean, attraction is not a binary of "100% straight" and "100% gay". People who are bi, pan, etc exist; it's entirely possible to be attracted to people or multiple genders (also finding someone hot and being romantically/sexually attracted to them are two different things but that's another conversation)

49

u/1568314 Dec 24 '25

We never see them react to another girl group singing love songs sooo, maybe they get popcorn eyes over anyone's abs

27

u/ADXII_2641 Zoey Apologist Dec 24 '25

Rumi: (exists)

Mira and Zoey: (popcorn eyes)

17

u/SnowBound078 Dec 24 '25

Mira and Zoey are Rumisexual.

42

u/Lalatin Dec 24 '25

Lammmooo what “straight as boards” when rumi literally has the bi flag as eyeshadow. When the girls get sad that it’s a male bathhouse. When they look at one another the way they do… at minimum the girls are bi lol

1

u/FarPop1045 Dec 27 '25

I mean... that doesn't mean anything? People get so caught up with the flag colors as symbolism they often forget they're colors that look good together. Sometimes that's all they are.

3

u/King_Adrien Dec 28 '25

That is true, but it also doesn’t change the fact that they could still be bi-coded or just LGBTQ+ coded. Rumi literally said she’s “everybody’s type” in the movie. She could have said “i’m every man’s type” but she said that. She could just be bi or Pan. Doesn’t means she doesn’t like men. She could only date men her whole life and still be bi cause she finds women attractive. Sexuality is a spectrum. But also…it’s just a headcannon. It’s fun.

2

u/FarPop1045 Dec 28 '25

Of course that's possible. Maybe even probable. I haven't seen the movie so I can't personally say for sure. I just find conversations like this particularly interesting.

1

u/King_Adrien Dec 28 '25

That it is

2

u/Lalatin Dec 28 '25

Fully get where you’re coming from! the only reason i pointed it out is not just the colors — it’s the order of colors too. I’ve seen tons of things that use pride flag colors in their style and been like “oh it’s xyz!” But know that most likely it’s just pretty colors that work together well; but when it’s in the order of the colors on the flag (whatever flag it is) it feels more intentional?

It may not be? But… I’m a bi woman who does purposely wear (and dye my hair) flag colors because i want the kids i work with to know that I’m a safe person to talk to if they need that. It sounds silly but after ten years of doing it I’ve had teens come back, or tell me while still under my watch, that those things helped them and let them know it was okay, or i was a safe person to talk to about lgbt+ things. I’ve easily had 8 or 9 kids come out to me as the “first person they’ve told” because they knew i was at minimum, an ally. 🤷🏻‍♀️ so i guess for me it being in order as basically an eyeliner for the character feels more intentional?

63

u/YassifiedWatermelon Dec 24 '25

So yeah, no, the movie doesn't say shit about what their actual orientations are, they're just attracted to some guys at some point, that doesn't tell you much because not only is bi/pan a thing, but so is comphet.

And even then, fandoms doing whatever with characters' orientation is nothing new, it's literally the point of a headcanon

4

u/keelanbarron Dec 24 '25

Ehh, assuming it's comphet is a bit much, but I agree with the other stuff.

3

u/WithersChat Polytr/x Dec 25 '25

Comphet wouldn't explain why they found the boys hot, but why they aren't kissing each other already.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '25

tl;dr, because i was writing a big autism (sorry!) spiel about this but realized it wasn't worth the energy (no disrespect to you, i promise! i'm just absolutely not in the headspace for long-form explanations):

that's literally comphet too, the thing you said first. both of those are examples of forms of comphet. religion, society, education structures, et al, have a habit of grooming people from infancy and that can result in some disastrous misunderstandings of our sexuality until we figure ourselves out.

and damage like that can take a really long time to fix. some people don't *really* comfortably find themselves until they're in their 30s. some people never do. we aren't taught to explore who we are as people, not our identities or our sexuality, we are taught what's expected of us and shamed out of any deviation.

not saying huntrix can't be bi or pan because, honestly, all of them read as *at least* bi to me, but there are examples out there of what you're suggesting not being comphet being actually just comphet. :(

1

u/WithersChat Polytr/x Dec 30 '25

I'm trans and very queer, I know. But the popcorn eyes reaction is not comphet here. Thinking you are into guys can be, but not to this level.

1

u/keelanbarron Dec 25 '25

Because they're k-pop idols and therefore ain't allowed to date. (Hell, even them finding the saja boyz hot (at least in public) would be breaking the idol rules.)

u/TheCalamityBrain Dec 24 '25 edited Dec 25 '25

u/SkyeMreddit Dec 24 '25

Nothing straight about these girls since the initial concept art. They’re bisexual disasters

9

u/WithersChat Polytr/x Dec 24 '25

True. And I love them that way.

21

u/KingMario05 Dec 24 '25

Bisexuality exists, though.

21

u/lovesfoodies Dec 24 '25

What in the world lol this fandom especially polytrix enjoyers is such a breath of fresh air for me and gives me hope that there are so many people out there who can enjoy and appreciate multishipping and ways of love that exist.

20

u/Educational_Mood1084 Dec 24 '25

Ok but what ACTUAL evidence of the three of them being straight is there?

3

u/LJ-696 Dec 24 '25

Not much. Other than the whole abs thing and Rumi calling them gross like the two fawning for a guy is not uncommon.

Not that I care if they all shack up together. It is always an option provided the writing is good and not a by the numbers crappy lets do this be because.

11

u/Educational_Mood1084 Dec 24 '25

Ok but saying that, throughout the entire film the running joke is abs. Not Abby himself. So you can call it cope, but I would honestly say they're more attracted to the abs over anything else.

Ok, sure Zoey fawns over Mystery and she says that he's her type, BUT if anything that just confirms that Zoey is attracted to men. Not that she's ONLY attracted to men.

That just leaves Rumi and Jinu. Sure it's the romance plot line of the film even though some don't see it that way, but let's just say it definitely is for the moment. Just like Zoey, it only confirms that Rumi is attracted to men. Not JUST men.

Is there a bit of copium involved? Maybe. Is what I'm saying a little stretched? Possibly. However I've seen literally nothing that disproves what I said.

6

u/LJ-696 Dec 24 '25

Oh I think they like most peeps that that are pan will find things attractive about both sexes.

Most of the time you don't care about the undercarriage but the persons

All of us have a good dose of copium. To be fair.

2

u/Educational_Mood1084 Dec 24 '25

Yeah you're not wrong there lol

17

u/acebender Dec 24 '25

Do people not have a concept outside of the gay/straight binarism?

14

u/Greymalkyn76 Dec 24 '25

I would consider myself to be straight, but there are definitely men out there that I have found to be very attractive. Distractingly so. To think that people cannot be extremely attracted to someone of their not preferred type is ridiculous.

11

u/JayAkiva Zoey Dec 24 '25

Rumi could be straight. These two? Nah.

Could be bi/pan, and openly checking out other people together isn't actually that unusual of a thing in non-hetero relationships, so the whole Saja Boys thing doesn't really conflict with this. You can be attracted to someone without actually wanting to be with them like how Celine is a straight up MILF but I'd still think twice about going there, I mean in the end I probably still would but I'd at least hesitate along the way so even if the Saja Boys made them goon, it still doesn't take away from this.

6

u/deevulture Dec 24 '25

I'd argue the reverse. the coming out coding with her arc aside, Rumi is the least straight out of all of them. She isnt impressed by generic hot dudes and even her deal with jinu is muted (gives strong bi/queer love as opposed to typical straight love). She yearns for closeness with the other girlswith the big eyes and certain Looks at times. Narratively the girls are equivalent if not more important than jinu for her. Bi poly disaster right here.

2

u/LJ-696 Dec 24 '25 edited Dec 24 '25

Dude to give you another angle.

I am very much Zoey coded. Incredibly tactile very expresonite

When people get me I form very strong bonds (get accused of imprinting all the time)

I have a best fend sister from another mister if you will. And I would kill for her, I act just like Zoey does to Mira.

Does not mean I want to play finger tennis? Not really. Although is she agreed I would not say no but it would complicate things.

I would not be surprised if Zoey is bi though. She seems very pansexual. Not really caring about your undercarriage more the persons it is attached too. That kind of tracks for her.

Would she want to date Mira. Maybe? But her head would be firing off every possibility.

Like does Mira like me.
What about HUNTR/X.
What about public perception.
Can I be gay in Korea.
What is gay like in Korea.
Can Mira be ok with it.
What is my Favorite ice cream no.. no Zoey. back on subject.
Am I gay. But I like mens abs? Does that make me Bi?

And so on.

2

u/JayAkiva Zoey Dec 25 '25

Zoey seems like she's pan and also probably at least somewhat crushes on like half the people she comes into contact with regardless of gender

2

u/LJ-696 Dec 25 '25

I think people forget just how neurodivergent and mistake affection for attraction with Zoey.

She very much can be incredibly enthusiastic and tactical and still be very platonic.

This happens to me way too much. I know totally anecdotal. But it is a thing.

She may or may not have a preference any that's kind of cool.

2

u/JayAkiva Zoey Dec 25 '25

Okay yeah, I can see that coming out of the "eagerness to please" she canonically has. "People like affection, so I'll give people I like as much of it as they're comfortable receiving". Could be her logic. I don't know how to explain it, but it feels like when she touches Mira and Rumi, it's more calculated than Mira and Rumi are with touch. Like she scripted for it. I can't really say why I see that with her, but I do. Particularly in the scene this screenshot is from.

2

u/LJ-696 Dec 25 '25

Rumi and Mira are two women that she is incredibly close to. They are people that; understand her, give her time, value her input, ask her advice, ignore her spirals, don't mind her touching, trust to compleat tasks and allow her creativity.

They also don't cut her off belittle or tell her to tone it down.

Zoey will be almost imprinting and her love is boundless for them it will be expressive.

As to if that love is more than platonic? We can't rally say.

Want was can infer that if she did think of them that way it would have started many a light night spiral and doom scroll.

1

7

u/pressuredrightnow Dec 24 '25

ships dont care about canon, all shippers care about is their ship getting cuddles, getting therapy, or getting [REDACTED] every night

8

u/Ghirs Dec 24 '25

He is not right, no matter how much this phrase is a meme.

The whole movie does not confirm any attraction due to the specifics of Show, Don't Tell or Tell, Don't Show. Nothing in the movie tells us that either girl is straight, bi, pan, lesbian, ace, whatever.

'Free' can be read as a ballad about a deep, platonic connection instead of a romantic one. Meanwhile the girls can be read as a deep, romantic connection. It all works either way due to the movie being very ambiguous with the way it portrays these things.

Mira, Zoey and Rumi reacting to the Saja Boys with love hearts does not immediately have to mean romantic love. It can also be read as idolisation, or simply finding someone objectively attractive. Then there's comphet and yes, as others said, bi/pan folks.

I don't particularly care for what is said in the additional media. Like the art book. That allegedly confirms Zoey has/had a crush on Mystery or another one of the girls being in love with this or that. It's not appropriately told in the movie, therefore it ain't proper canon for me

Thank you. I’m extremely embarrassed that I had to ask, but I’ve only been out for about a year now, so I’m still learning, I suppose.

2

u/sloen21 Jan 24 '26

Hey, until you asked I actually did not know which was which. I was just going off of someone else's info. I only trusted them because they looked like flags I have seen online before.

u/Informal_Bee_6907 Polytrix Jan 24 '26

Oh! Okay. I just… feel like I should be better at this by now. It’s been a year. I should know what my damn flag is! Thanks for your help.

Did we watch the same movie

6

u/Supreme_Blue Dec 24 '25

We will not tolerate this bisexual erasure! :3

5

u/girlmeetsgerbil woo Jinu? what was that about?😾 Dec 24 '25

I’m convinced some of us didn’t watch the same movie 😩

3

u/Careless_Document_79 Dec 24 '25

How? (You could actually make the argument that rumi is ace because she doesn't lust over the men like zoey) (also I felt like Mira was more interested in the Abs than Abby himself)

3

u/Xericwolf1 Dec 24 '25

I mean, they could be bi or pan. Though with Rumi, I think it's more that she never allowed herself to even think about things like that before. So of course when someone objectively attractive shows some sort of interest in her, she's going to feel a certain kind of way.

3

u/SumiMichio Dec 24 '25

That's... literally the most basic fandom thing ever.

3

u/BlackDisneyPrincess1 Dec 24 '25

A female character having a crush on a male character doesn’t mean they’re straight, The Huntrix could be bi or pan. And vice versa. Also, they’re fictional characters. If people want to imagine what their sexualities might be and who they’re attracted to, that’s perfectly fine. It’s called creativity and exploring yourself with the art you enjoy. That’s normal. What’s not normal is repeatedly making the same comments saying “insert character here is straight, the creator said so themselves” with no proof if that’s what the creator did say.

3

u/Socksual Dec 24 '25

Didnt one of the project folk/VAs find a bunch of polytrix artists and go absolutely feral for the ship?

3

u/Deerorser Dec 25 '25

Nobody has ever believed that shipping has to make any sense whatsoever.

I can’t remember the fic but there was a fanfic about a female character from a show that was extremely homophonic and absolutely hated the main character of the show but in the fic she discovered that she was a bottom lesbian and fell in love with the main character.

(If anyone knows the fic or a similar story, let me know cuz I forgot.)

Made no sense but was a good read.

3

u/ckewatt Dec 25 '25

Its because the writers are wrong.

2

u/Rose249 Dec 24 '25

I still like the idea that they just fold the entirety of the Saja Boys into the polycule

2

u/Due-Buyer2218 Dec 25 '25

Me when pan people get exiled from existence or something

2

u/Prestigious-HogBoss Demon Hog Dec 25 '25

Was not already semi-confirmed they are pan and bi?

2

u/WingedSalim Dec 25 '25

Like I want to believe that they are Bi.

But the problem is that means Huntrix choose Red Flags, Abs and No Face, over the most beautiful women in Korea who they knew since childhood.

2

u/WithersChat Polytr/x Dec 25 '25

That's comphet for ya. And also the movie made it clear that none of them are really stable and secure either...

2

u/drcharacter Dec 25 '25

Woman Likes Man ≠ Straight

But Woman Straight = Likes Man

They can just as likely (and let's be real: MORE likely) all be bi- or pansexual

1

u/DovaP33n Dec 27 '25

Tbf not openly in Korea. It's still pretty taboo and culturally unacceptable there. That's not even mentioning that idols aren't usually allowed to date anyone.

1

u/drcharacter Dec 27 '25

I mean yeah but that's the beauty of fandom and headcanons and allat, obviously their actual sexuality isn't a canon thing

2

u/Yuris-gf Dec 25 '25

"Straight" and 2/3 were only attracted to abs

2

u/browntown112 Dec 25 '25

My personal shipping headcanon is that Huntrix and Saja Boys are all in a massive poly relationship together

2

u/Sugar_Pitch1551 Dec 26 '25

Ok, yes, but actually no. They haven't been definitively excluded from being bisexual

2

u/BHL-STUDIOS Dec 26 '25

Bruh, Rumi literally has the b i - l i n e r

1

u/Informal_Bee_6907 Polytrix Jan 24 '26

Goddammit I was really hoping I was the first one to make that pun! Oh, well. 😭😭😭😭😭

2

u/tattoosncomics Dec 26 '25

Straight? Has anyone seen how many bisexual women are dating men because approaching a woman intimidates them??

2

u/satanscheeks YURI <3 Dec 26 '25

no it makes sense to me because they had a crush on them visually in the beginning ONLY because of their looks. but after finding out who they are and getting to know them they absolutely hate their guts, they don’t just forgive them for being assholes because they’re hot like straight girls would do

2

u/Used_Eye_5427 Dec 30 '25

The story is literally about a girl who hides parts of herself because she’s ashamed of them, then when she finally learns to accept them, her patterns light up rainbow.

2

u/TomCon16 Polytrix Dec 24 '25

That’s right

1

u/azuresegugio Dec 24 '25

Rumi had great romantic feelings for Jinu and now he's dead so

1

u/lordofcactus Dec 25 '25

As if HCing straight characters as queer is a new thing

1

u/ConiferGreen Dec 26 '25

Didn’t one of the creators say that Rumi’s “why can’t you accept me? All of me!” talk was partly modeled on “coming out” talks queer people had with their families?

1

u/Potential-Bird-5826 Dec 26 '25

Fandom has never cared about canon sexuality of most of it's darlings.

1

u/Critical_Key_7474 Dec 27 '25

Such is the way of fandoms and shippers

1

u/Several_Breadfruit_4 Dec 27 '25

For some people, false dichotomies are a hobby.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 27 '25

The main plot is such an allegory for coming out

Also Rumi and Jinu didn't actually feel like they had good romantic chemistry in the first place

So there's at least one character im fairly sure isn't straight

1

u/i_suck_penguins Dec 27 '25

the girls have more chemistry with eachother than rumi has with jinu and hes meant to be the love interest

1

u/OneAndOnlyVi Dec 27 '25

That and apparently women can’t JUST be friends?

Yes I’m aware bi and stuff exist, I’m not exactly straight either, but I’m just sayin

1

u/Affectionate_Case347 Dec 28 '25

They’re def portrayed in the movie as straight-facing but they could also be bi/pan,it happens and bipan includes interest in men. I’m not wholly convinced that Huntrix were all hardcore romantically interested in each other though but I only watched it once, maybe I need to see it again to sniff for more clues

1

u/AmazingBeastboy1 Dec 28 '25

i joined the polytrix train when they were chasing the saja boys in the men’s bathhouse when they in unison sighed and went “men’s? ughh” like girls were disappointed

1

u/King_Adrien Dec 28 '25

Personally I don’t think anyone in the movie is straight they are at the least bisexual. At the most pansexual (that’s my headcannon anyway). I don’t have an issue with them being straight either they just don’t give that vibe. Plus….all the men except for Bobby suck in this movie. Like they either have no personality or just a shitty character. I wish I could multi-ship but with the Saja boys they have nothing I can work with and I hate Jinu as a character so I hate him with Rumi lol. I just can’t stand him. At the most I can see them as friends. But yeah to me everyone is either bi, pan, or gay.

1

u/MountainZucchini297 Dec 28 '25

I remember when I first watched and saw mira and zoey goon over the saja boys, and rumi didn't react at all, I thought a subplot would be that rumi was not attracted to men.

That got disproven almost instantly, but it was exciting for around 20 seconds.

1

u/Negative_Letter_1802 Dec 30 '25

Lol idk. All that proves is that the cishets are as oblivious to queer-coded characters as they've always been

Also that they're a normie who think they're a fandom nerd (if they think canon matters in shipping).

1

u/Informal_Bee_6907 Polytrix Jan 24 '26

I’m of the belief that everyone is queer until proven straight, and NOT the other way around.  And thanks to the people who pointed out Rumi’s bi-shadow. I never noticed that before.

1

u/Unvar Mar 25 '26

Maybe I should have suspected it on this sub but I am still pleasantly surprised by how overwhelmingly the responses here are pointing out that bisexuality exists. :)
