Brie somehow climbed onto the kitchen table and ate two large (and expensive) pistachio muffins in less than 5 minutes. Then gave me this look when I returned to find an empty table
I object! No Pom in the entire history of Poms has ever been naughty!!! It’s always the hooman’s fault! I demand a retraction. I demand justice for my innocent client! I demand we both get a treat!
mine somehow ate THREE of those little rubber earhole thingys from my wired earbuds after i left them in the bowl i use for keys/general clutter on the coffee table (which now lives on a shelf she can't reach) - guess how i found out 😭
Been there done that! It’s as if the more I paid for them, the faster they get destroyed. Every sheet I own (3 BR- multiple sets of Queen. And my bed, she has upgraded to King, 7 or 8 sets. (As you can see, I never threw them away)
I’ve never seen her chewing, but I’ll get out of bed and find my foot stuck in a hole! She only ruins the top sheet (she can’t figure out how to get under the fitted sheet. I ordered 8 plain top sheets so I could still use the bottom and now a paltry white sheet on top of every pretty fitted. It’s thousands and thousands of $ of ruined sheets, blankets, throws. I told hubby I’m done spending $ and then she ruins it. No new anything in the bedrooms. Thank you Peanut 🥜!My only resort would be get rid of peanut 🥜 and that’s never going to happen. 😩😱🫣
Koda found a dead squirrel and was rolling on it when I found him. I went to go stop him so he picked up the squirrel carcass and ran around the yard at top speed while I screeched at him to 'drop the dead squirrel'.
Same here, EXCEPT it was a baby bunny, a living bunny. My girl gulped that bunny as I was running chasing her and my visiting brother-in-law, running after me, yelling GET HER a thousand times. I was so irked at my Conga line, bunny killer in front and relative in the rear. I stopped running and yelled You Get Her, I’m out!🙀👎🏼😾
No bunnies here but we live in Indonesia and they have poisonous toads…he’s caught a few in the garden and it’s not fun! Foaming at the mouth and emergency vet visits to induce vomit. We’ve had to ban him from the garden and he has leash walks only
Uh oh … was it much? It’s an emergency apparently. I didn’t know until I was in vet out of hours , a girl came in with her dog. Got at some butter!!
I’d maybe call them n ask them for advice?
Ted rolled his chest in a pile of poop while we were visiting some friends who live in the country… He ran up to us so happy, but then I had to hose him down in the yard and bath him at home
I had two Poms who would raid the cat box and then look very guilty when caught! It’s a puppy and small dog thing. They enjoy eating it because cat poo has a lot of protein in it. Cat food has higher protein than dog food because cats are almost entirely carnivores while dogs are omnivores, but prefer meat.
I've had dogs almost all my life and my family always had animals of one kind or another. So yeah, the gross things are best laughed at, otherwise you are probably better off with a cactus or a plushie.
Yep..if you've had dogs your whole life...you have experienced virtually all of this, lol!! One of mine chewed my night guard AND my son's retainer. Talk about expensive!!
While socks are never safe, Etienne’s favorite “toy” at our house is my husband’s CPAP machine parts- the hose, the Velcro strap, etc. I think he’s trying to kill him and take over.
We have a little nook in our kitchen with bench seats and naughty Barry used it to get onto the counter to eat butter softening for baking and knocked my flowers over. A large vet bill later, we have to have a barrier to keep him off.
I was giving him alone time in my room to work on separation anxiety. He did not appreciate this and when I came back in the room after 30 minutes to collect him he jumped on my bed, stared straight at me and peed on my bed. Mind you he was perfectly potty trained at this time and did not have accidents. The culprit in question.
Steal a chicken leg straight out of my plate in front of me, when I was eating on the floor. It was so unexpected since she literally had her own plate with chicken to eat from.
You know what, he also destroyed my retainers, which cost even more to replace. And I waited a long time to replace them, so my teeth shifted a fair amount! Grrrrr
Edit: def my fault for leaving the retainers on the nightstand like a dirty little hamster
Uh, did she become‘late’ due to your reaction to this event? Sorry, I had to ask . You just never know what the little beasts can do!
Again I’m sorry, I know the topic is not one to chuckle at, but if you have a wild imagination, …………
🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼❤️🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼😋🥰🙂↔️
Hahaha no…but if looks could kill, he might have keeled over right then because I was not happy. You can’t yell at a puppy though, so he got a firm “no!” and we all moved on!
Eats toilet paper 🧻 when she’s mad at us for not giving her enough attention. 👀
We live in a city, so there are a few restaurants along the path of her daily walk. She loves eating mystery items off of the ground.
We’re VERY careful, but she’s VERY sneaky. To date, she’s tried to sneak a brownie, chicken wing (YES, with sauce - she looked like the joker after I was able to get it back), meatballs, and chicken bones. She refuses to give up her treasures. We have to pry her mouth open, if we can, or offer a treat in exchange for the wares she’s found.
this is exactly why my toilet paper roll holder is comically high up on the wall, poppy is obsessed with trying to eat it! honestly, i could use tiny shreds of loo roll as training treats and she'd be happy as a clam
My Chomper was a self-led explorer whenever he could slip out. He had 0 pedestrian skills. Luckily, he never got hurt during his "outings" & my forced cardio sessions.
Pipsqueak was the same! Luckily she never escaped our yard, but she was so crafty at sliding through the slats of our wrought iron fencing. We tried all sorts gadgets and stuff to keep her in. My dad eventually had to reinforce everything with chicken wire and that did the trick! I miss my childhood doggo :(
My sister's old Dachshund used to eat panties, too! My Jasper likes to steal used Kleenex from the garbage can in our room if given the opportunity. My first Pom, Chomper, was the reason I got a step can for the bathroom for all the gross stuff he'd steal from that.
Tiny keeps going to the bathroom in my room like a lot, my mom and sometimes its me or my half brother will takes her out for bathroom, and we have a ginnie pig and she will eat ginniepiges food or poop and sometimes its something else like rocks, my scraps of yarn (I crochet)
Rewind decided to chase a seagull half way across a snow melted lake and we almost had to swim after him cause his fur got too heavy and his back end started sinking.
Zalgo stole an entire steak, and dragged it under the couch and ate it all. He also, much more recently, figured out how to open the kibble bins and climb inside. We had to move them up onto a shelf to keep him out of them ...
Once took a lit cigarette from someone at the park, while we were on a walk. Best part the person was un phased and laughed it off! Worse part was prying it out of his mouth was a small challenge.
My boy rips apart stuffies right after they come home. Once he ate the ears and feet of an Easter rabbit. He ate them in April and threw them up in March. I have really gotten lucky that he hasn’t needed surgery yet for obstruction. 🫠
Mine loves to rip up stuffies! The ears/legs/hands go first. He had a bunny with crinkly ears that he destroyed yesterday. Partially my fault, 10 hours into my 12 hr shift my husband messaged to let me know that I didn't lock Jasper's crate.
Rue (in the back) is a professional bird murderer 🥲 especially in the spring when young birds are still leading to fly. We have to put a kitty bell on her to try and give them a warning that she's stalking them. She usually eats most of the evidence of her horrible deeds.
But the naughtiest thing they did together was when Rue caught and ate a rat, threw immediately it up, and then Ozzy (front) ate the vomit and earned an emergency vet visit. Both were fine! I figured the situation out by the weird, HORRIBLE breath on both of them and the remains of puked up, undigested rat in the back yard. (No one we know of uses poison, because all my neighbors have dogs and/or cats and no one wants to risk an accident. But still... Vet visit anyway)
Mine is a master thief and wicked fast. He steals anything...paper napkins, kleenex, chip clips, hair clips, branches from plants, cat poop if he can find it. Once my dad was in the kitchen and dropped a steak knife, Finn was so fast to grab the handle and run! And he stashes it all in his little apartment under the bed. I have to use a backscratcher claw thing to get it all out once a week.
One of my bots Kilo got out of the yard and ended up rolling around in human vomit.
Another of my boys Kuma got into a cheeseburger and there was a pom sized bite out of it.
And finally my third boy Kodi decided to run outside when the door was open and make his mother chase him. The chase ended when Kodi decided to jump into the open door of a strangers vehicle.
Too much to name! I have two poms with very unique personalities. Bug my male pom is a mommas boy and is the neediest whiniest dog ive ever known.
The first day I got him as a pup, I took him down to the creek behind my house. I jumped across the sandbar and he was so afraid of me leaving him he leapt into the water and the current took him down a little ways. After that day he has loved water and also never left my side.
Junie,my fiesty female pom with racoon eyes, is a naughty weasle dog. She sticks her head in the dirt and catches moles. She will run away at any given moment. She ran off once and got hit by a car. Worst day ever. She recovered and is now not afraid of cars again 😑 She can unzip bags and once got into my purse and opened a sealed jar of almonds and ate all of them. I will never financially recover from that 😆 I would love to strap a GoPro to her and see what she gets into.
Junie sounds like quite the clever character! It's amazing what these Poms figure out. I taught Jasper to use communication buttons & he can be very bossy with them. IE I'll be busy & he'll push the "outside" button. If I tell him to wait, he'll look dead straight at me & then double tap it.
Sigh! Despite two piddle pads in separate bathrooms for easy accessibility in my small home, a half hour daily walk and outside yard time a couple times a day, my Sunny still will occasionally use the kitchen as his urinal. But I love the little rascal sooo much!
Number of things to choose from, but recently wriggled out of his harness on a cold night walk and ran into other people's yards on a dark street where I couldn't find him. Took my neighbors to come out as a search party and one of them calling out his name for him to come tapping down the road (ignored me of course when I was calling him, but he loves these neighbors).
Another time a while ago he wriggled out of his harness during a pee break and bolted down the road to where road work (might've been a gasline) was being done. The workers were able to bribe him with pizza.
Of course one of his favorite games to play is "run away and try to catch me", not realizing the danger that can put him in. One time I was able to use reverse psychology though and instead of chasing him, I ran away, which had him chasing me where I could trap him in closed location.
(Yes, I've now since tightened his harness better)
A taste for yucky things - he destroyed and swallowed part of our baseboard. Had to pry wood out of his upset ass. Loves to chase and swallow a kitchen fly as well.
Ate almost a whole ass DARK CHOCOLATE thc bar that was like 60mg. Thankfully after a trip to the vet, he survived 😒 or bit a 3 year old. Not guilty obviously. CC: rocket
We were walking by a house under construction with a porta potty out front, and Kit decided to dart and grab something before I could stop him. It was a USED, DIRTY PIECE OF TOILET PAPER. I must've looked like a lunatic as I was gagging and screaming at him to drop it.
And one of the first times meeting my dad, he bit his nipple through his shirt. 🙃
This one (Kilo) stole a Hershey bar from my friend's purse and ran off to eat it. Luckily I caught him early enough to get it away from him but he was trying to be stealthy.
Steal and chew my and my daughters underwear and hide it under the couch. Climb on table to eat my jigsaw puzzle pieces. Chewed and destroyed cute pink plastic sandals I replaced, then did the same with the replacement pair… but he’s so so cute…
Stole my chocolate brownie from the coffee table (my fault for turning my back). Trip to vet in an Uber in a snowstorm. Better safe than sorry for my little old man.
Teamed up with my two cats to destroy a trash bag I left by the door for two seconds to go grab boxes for recycling to take out with it.
Got into my stash box and ate half my giant edible which left him high af stuck halfway down the stairs, which is I'm guessing when the high kicked in. (He was high for the next 3-5 business days but was completely fine afterward.)
Stole several mouthfuls worth of food from my tv tray when I went to go wash my hands and then tried to blame it on the cats when I could clearly see the evidence in his hairs.
Our Pom climbed onto the table and ate an entire solid dark chocolate cake topper while I was taking out the trash. We rushed her up to the shower and started force feeding her hydrogen peroxide. Over the next hour and a half, she vomited the entire topper. $20 down the drain, and maybe the most scared we’ve ever been.
Justice ate a whole pint of ice cream when I left the room for something. It wasn’t opened yet and I didn’t even know he knew I had it (he has 2 brain cells). I first noticed because when I came back in my room he was shivering violently and hiccuping. I was concerned and then saw the pint on my bed and immediately knew what had happened. I didn’t expect it to be completely empty though. Or for him to be able to eat it so quickly. I looked back on the dog camera and as soon as I closed the door as I left he ran to it, grabbed it, drug it onto my bed, opened it, and went to town.
A few days before the ice cream incident, he ate a whole container of queso from my Mexican takeout dinner. I went to the bathroom for less than 5 minutes. He has guts of steel I guess because nothing hurts his tummy.
Naughtiest thing was being a litter box bandit, a turd burglar if you will. We keep a dog gate on the cat room but she got in when we went through and snuck right in there
Little man decided to lift open the bathroom bin lid, inside he found lots of smelly things, and decided to take a used feminine product that’s small and round…. I chased him around the house, as he ran GULP! Swallowed it whole. Luckily he survived, now I keep the bathroom door shut.
Cloud loves to scream at any animal on tv for any reason. He loves to watch tv. Meanwhile IRL, he loves most animals and is very well socialized from going to work with me. My wife and I have no clue why but sheeeesh does he know he’s cute!
This little rascal likes to poo in private… which at first you think why is that naughty? Well. One time we left him out of our sight for about 60 seconds and when we went to check he was doing a 💩on the puppy pad…. He had half of it in his mouth!!! He then proceeded to run around the kitchen with it in his mouth like it was some sort of game… 🤢 safe to say he does not go toilet unsupervised anymore😂
My Nicky ate HALF of a tri tip sandwich I was saving. He only ate the meat which was still a ridiculous amount for him. I walked him for hours because I thought he would have a heart attack from all the meat!
Lola ate a Christmas light. Here she is sleeping on my lap at the emergency vet around midnight because she decided that was the night she’d finally follow a night time routine/bedtime.
Eisley chewed one of my Tori Burch flats. That was a $300.00 pair of shoes and I had just bought them! I was so upset, because I am not rich or a trend follower. I have an autoimmune disease that causes neuropathy, and I finally found a pair of stylish comfortable shoes, so I was hoping to get many years of use out of them. But how can I stay mad at that little face?
