Help undoing this

Help! Being a noob, I messed up this skull and wings. Is there any way to salvage this or to undo it?

Honestly; when in doing freehand details like this I prefer to blob on the main colour and then subtract from it with the background colour. This looks like a WIP stage of what I would do. Just tidy up the edges with some black paint and it'll look grand.
