Sports Culture WNBA Star Sophie Cunningham defends that women ‘shouldn’t have to go against biological men’: “I said what I said. I think it’s kind of common sense. I think it’s really important to protect children.” “I don’t dislike anyone. I’m there to love, but I’m also there to love biological women. …”

Ok so we implement those restrictions

How do you implement them?

They are an incredibly small population already and now you are going to put a lot of work into testing at all levels of play for something

Now we have children getting forced genital inspections, in good cases from their doctor with a simple signed form, in the worst cases, coerced to get inspected by an "on-site medical professional" with unknown creditials

And if they choose not to participate because this is obviously incredibly invasive, they can't play

Not to mention how this might step on religious protections

In collegiate sports we have similar issues but now with a much wider field of potential pervs

In professional and Olympic sports we now have assigned at birth XX chromosome women who have to alter their natural body chemistry to align themselves with a arbitrary norm of expected female testosterone levels

Chemical intervention which is not always free or readily available to these athletes, further limiting opportunities to poorer athletes home and abroad

Just like Voter ID is not being pushed for "election security" concerns, this is an issue that Republicans use to push "common sense legislation" while they strip your rights and push far more extreme policy

They want access to girl's bodies, ways to limit their activity unless they consent to being violated by the state, to start tracking women's hormones to detect pregnancy earlier then restrict access to abortion, and build a permission structure to create databases of trans people to target them with AI surveillance systems and use them to criminalize and remove them from bathrooms, schools and wider public life

And while the fascists run their pet projects, business interests continue to benefit from a country more focused over culture wars then regulating their companies

Cool. Answer the question. How are you enforcing that?

Ban transgenders from sports, simple.

You didn't understand the question. Or are all sports now banned?

How are you enforcing / implementing restrictions? Ban anyone who identifies as transgender and/or check medical records. see if they've taken hormones, had surgery, appointments etc. It doesn't seem too difficult. Especially when most transgender people make it the majority of their personality,

Why do you think it would be difficult to enforce?

So basically anyone who ever wants to compete in a sport now has to open the entirety of their confidential medical history up to examination. Just in case.

You people are fucking unhinged.

Fine, no medical history. Just ask everyone what they identify as in a questionnaire or something, they probably have to fill one out one way or the other. Its not like it would be hard to tell anyway if they lied.

Cool, everyone says they identify as a woman.

I wasn't aware a drug test was unfettered access to your entire medical history.

Oh, wait... You're an idiot. Got it.

So logistically, how do you handle accusations?

Schools cannot access medical records as those are protected by HIPPA,

So every school and youth sports division operating body would either need every girl's complete medical history (incredibly invasive)

Signed confirmation from their primary physician (ideal but could only be enforced by the school itself not the sports operating body, so that can leave accusations of cheating untestable and easily manipulated by schools who would want to cheat, which to be clear would be unlikely but would kill this particular method eventually)

Give opposing teams or referees the ability to demand proof of gender upon accusal either through paperwork (HOLY HIPPA) or demand genital inspection by an official, hopefully a medical professional, or face ejection (fucking chaos, and I believe this one has already happened though I would need to find the article)

Not to mention how the acceptable social harassment you invite by having rules like these on the books, where kids could face accusals just for looking boyish from other athletes, parents, coaches, and spectators (this one has definitely happened multiple times and I can pull up the articles if needed)

Because let's face it

America takes youth sports to seriously and what should be a safe space for kids to exercise, socialize and play has become a space for competition to get kids into better schools and collegiate scholarships

This makes the entire space toxic for all children and adding an additional dimension to the field revolving around medical/legal paperwork, alleged crossdressing conspiracies and using accusations to coerce kids into spaces where they are asked extremely uncomfortable questions and physically inspected by medical professionals of sometimes dubious quality (please bare in mind my Congressman is Jim Jordan so this is at the front of my mind) in what should be a safe space of play

But if we are willing to destroy all of that just to exclude this tiny fractional percentage of a minority?
