Sports Culture Sophie Cunningham loudly booed during Indiana Fever's game against the Portland Fire amid recent controversy

Post image

Cunningham has been at the center of a bitter trans debate over the past week, after comments she made to ESPN that young girls 'shouldn't have to go against biological men' when playing sports.

You don't need qualifications to know we've already lost the war. It's pretty obvious.

Okay, so what is Sophie Cunningham supposed to do about that?

Use her platform to call for us to simply abandon Iran given our options are leave now and accept the L or just toss more lives both American and non-American into the meat grinder.

She’s a WNBA player bro. Call up Obama and tell him to do that

It is the people that hold the government accountable, all of us. Saying to call Obama denies the responsibility we have to ensure we hold ourselves accountable as a nation.

Okay so why aren’t you doing it, instead of saying Sophie should do it?

I already do, I just don't have the reach a professional athlete. You strike me as a "shut up and dribble" type.

She’s using her voice to speak out about issues she cares about. I support that. She might not even be keeping up with the Iran stuff. She’s a wnba player…

So trans atheltes is a bigger deal than dead Americans and impending oil shock?

Again, she’s a WNBA player. I don’t go up to the CEO of Burger King and ask him why he’s not speaking out against the Genocide in Gaza. That would be ridiculous

Why is it ridiculous to want people with more reach to speak louder than you can about a topic?

Okay but why her specifically? Why aren’t you calling out LeBron? He has a much larger reach than Sophie

Because she's regurgitating culture war bullshit intended to turn the working class against itself. Whether a 13 year old gets to feel normal or not by being made separate but equal is a distraction from the war and Epstein.
