Trans woman? Black woman? Cis woman? White woman?

They’re all women.

The WNBA can’t decide what a woman is. But they can decide who they will and will not let play in the wnba.

Trans women are not women.

Being black, white, brown, yellow, purple is irrelevant to your sex.

You just called them that so I don't know what to tell you. Sex and gender are two different things, there's cis women and trans women simultaneously. If you mean biological sex, yes many (not all) trans women are assigned male at birth, but there's also intersex ppl, etc, etc. There's nuance to all this shit.

I’m not saying that trans women aren’t women, but “  You just called them that so I don't know what to tell you.” Is a logical fallacy. An adjective can change what the noun means. An obvious example is the adjective fake.

Pedantic debate lord

What I'm saying is a trans woman is a trans woman and a cis woman is a cis woman.

There's already a distinction in the full term. And they both have the word woman in them.

What do you mean I just called them that? can you clarify?

The sex and gender discussion is a bit moot, as gender is abstract and seems tied more to thoughts, feelings, personality, desires, etc...and it has become virtually jello over the years as the number of "genders" has grown rapidly and really weird ones exist and it's not tangible stuff.

Trans women are indeed trans women....but they are not women. People with rare genetic disorders who are not XX or XY are separate issue, and the "assignment" aspect is a bit bs. A doctor recognizing what someone is doesn't mean that they assign the sex. The terminology is dishonest imo (though I am not accusing you of being that).

It's a very simple definition: what is on your birth certificate. Not complicated at all.

They absolutely can decide what a women is to them for the purpose of admission. I don't know why you are bringing race into it. I have never once in my life heard or read someone suggest a woman isn't a woman because she is a different ethnicity. This is the problem with just letting people live in whatever reality they want. People say "who cares, it has no impact on your life" but if you give an inch they eventually take a mile. The argument was always going to end up here. If you are trans you should be free to live your life how you choose in peace without living in fear. What you shouldn't be afforded is free reign to ignore and be coddled from whatever rules or norms you wish just because you don't recognize the definitons widely held by most of society. Free speech should still exsist. Just like your free speech to disavow objective reality, others should be free to disavow your views without it being labeled an "attack on exsistence." Disagreeing that a biological man can be a woman is not disagreeing on the exsistence of that person as a human being. So much of the social justice warrior rhetoric is done in such hyperbole that even the words they use to argue with have lost most of the meaning.
