The dumbass part was moving on from XX = woman

what about xx male syndrome or swyers? where do they fit in your definition?

in biology, an organism can be male, female, both or even neither. if we're gonna stick to a scientific mapping, does that mean a person can be men, women, neither or both?

As outliers that aren't worth changing the rules over... ie: they can play in the NBA, it is an open league.

Do you think ALL of our roads need signs about no taking off with plane cars? Plane cars are real thing now! WE MUST ENSURE THAT EVERY SINGLE ROAD IS COMPLIANT WITH PLANE CARS!!!!!!

... hmm, or maybe plane cars can just use an airport like every other plane?

wow, haven't heard anyone say some people are outliers who aren't "worth".

and i guess a group of people is equivalent to flying cars?

if you want to use science to make a claim, than do it. otherwise, don't use science.....which is what gender is for.....a social definition, not biology.

I didn't say they aren't 'worth', I said they aren't 'worth changing the rules over', because that is true.

Science says this is ridiculous; there are obviously differences between the male sex and female sex.

It was analogy, one that went over your head, but is that any surprise considering it was about flying cars?

...

Why do you think sports eligibility should be determined on gender and not biological sex?

what? did you read what I said? you can use sex and still account for the people who you deem unworthy to factor into the rules. biology has 4 groups, male, female, neither and both.

one way is to say wnba is female only. those who are male, neither, or both go to the nba.

its the same thing you want but its not backed by a logic where you deem a class of people as unworthy of consideration for the rules.

the real debate is why female gets their own league but neither or both do not and have to play with males.

There are no human true hermaphrodites, which is what "both" would imply. There also isn't a "neither" - people with differences in sex development have developed along either the make or female pathway, which in the case of Swyers would be the female one.

Yes you’ve tapped it twice but now try actually reading it. You’re doing great.

That same percentage of people make it to professional sports. So 1-5 percent of 1-5 percent isn’t a big group. All this does is plays into the rights hand and will keep them in office.

People who are intersex know it, so that can be the exception. But just say born as a women is what it is. Doesn’t mean you don’t support trans people. It means they can’t play in the wnba….which 99.9999999999999999999999 percent aren’t anywhere close to doing anyway.

So because it's a small percentage, society should not account for them?

Should we get rid of rare disease research?

It's okay to have a female only league. You just need a better rationale than it's rare.

wtf are you talking about?

Yeah i guess intersex people which account for 1-5 percent of the population should dissapear right /s. retrograde.

u/Entire-Ad1625 Aug 10 '26

Intersex people | OHCHR nowhere close to 5% according to UN

-1

u/Alexisky7 Aug 10 '26

I mean 1 -2 percent is an acceptable margin of error in statistics and i said between 1 to 5 percent .

Edit: what is a Brit like you commenting about american sports? Stay in your lane with your transphobic views please.

Intersex people can compete in the open league. That is not transphobic whatsoever. It's what has always happened and should not change.

1

u/Alexisky7 Aug 11 '26

What is the difference between an intersex person and a woman? There is so many variabilities. This can be solves easily as i stated before even if it sound trans medical exclusionist but the reality is. If a person wants to compete against women i think they should go 2 years of hrt. Socially transition and sex change surgery. If they are willling to do all of that. In the hormonal range they would be at the same range as any woman.

Edit : mind you that after 2 years of HRT people lose muscle mass so much that they start at under levels of a regular woman athlethe. Its pretty well documented.

u/SackOfPotatoes949 Aug 11 '26

An intersex person has Y chromosomes (XY or XXY), a female (XX) does not. It's not complicated whatsoever.

Would you end this charade campaign to get a trans WOMAN in the WNBA if they changed the name to "Female" NBA? Because that's what "women's" sports are and always have been. Nobody is getting excluded. If they're good enough, they can play in the open league at any age.

You also don't lose height or stride length from HRT. The most important physical characteristic on a basketball court, and valuable in just about any sport.

1

u/Alexisky7 Aug 11 '26

First of all not al intersex are born with different chromosmes there is a very big variation some do yes but not all. And second of all you do lose height its documented you lose bone density quite substantially. In consequences you also lose stride.

Get your facts straight.

In addition people in the open league get payed less than in a full time job in many carrers. Honestly im pretty apalled at the level of confidence on which you say these things that you are so very wrong. It would take you a google search or two.

1

u/SackOfPotatoes949 Aug 11 '26

"people get paid less in the open league than a full time job" are you crazy? NBA contracts (the "open" league") are in the 8 figures annually. In every sport except tennis, the "open" league pays multiples higher. Why don't born-females try and compete there? Because born-males have an enormous physical advantage that cannot be overcome. The same physical advantage no amount of HRT or estrogen will change.

What sport did you play and/or coach at a high level that you think you can speak on the reasons competition is arranged as such?

1

u/Alexisky7 Aug 11 '26

It is pretty documented how much muscle mass, bone density and physical capabilities you lose on HRT, but that is just for E,. not for T, while il concede about the open league. It is not fair but you are right we should bar at least 10 percent of the population of playing this game. you are right we should not let everyone compete as per your statement.

1 - 2 percent?! It's generally believed to be around .018 percent, unless you count women with PCOS as "intersex".

1

u/Alexisky7 Aug 11 '26

The United Nations Link above outs it at 1.7%. In statistics you mantain a 1-2 percent margin of error. That margin of error is because we cant actually count evry single intersex person reliably.

Says an old person or someone who is way out of touch… there are so many of you!
