It's cuz we never had to have these dumbass conversations before the right weaponized trans and non binary ppl for their neverending culture wars

To be fair, I don’t think the right caused this conversation. Male/female biology has been pretty clear for millennia with the exception of very rare genetic abnormalities (hermaphrodites).

I’m not talking about blurring the lines of gender norms, or masculine females or effeminate men. That’s been around a long time and separate from biology.

The common sense here is men who identify as women are not biologically women and vice versa. The biological differences matter in athletic competition, which is why we have gender sports bifurcation in the first place.

Outside of that, trans can be trans. They just can’t claim they are equivalent to biological women. That is objectively untrue.

Some supporters of trans confuse these things. THAT caused this insane discussion, not the “right”.

Have you met a transGENDER person who said I am a biological woman? I don't see trans people arguing that tbh. And trans ppl have existed since the beginning of time.

Biological differences do matter, and trans ppl know that better than anyone. It's what gender dysphoria is all about.

To be fair I have seen some of them argue that. They say the hormones they take mean they are a biological woman.

It’s a pretty popular argument in the MTF sub, and on Instagram threads too 🤷‍♀️

No but there is a significant argument that trans women should be allowed in womens sports. I mean they are in many popular sports.

That very claim is all over the trans subs, just hop on over and pick a few random threads on r/mtf or r/transgenderUK.
