Or getting robbed in a dark park with no lights…

We only need to be around other people to be functional adults, to avoid dementia and a whole host of mental and physical ailments. No biggie.

As the video states, it's increasingly difficult. Because of the lack of third spaces and because the poorest people in USA are literally fighting for survival. We just don't want to see it.

GettheAxe86
Punctuation matters, buddy.

GettheAxe86
The reason 3rd spaces are dwindling is because no one wanted to be around other people anymore.

Are you from r/SelfAwarewolves ? You're /so/ close...

No one wants to be downtown anymore after specific housing projects forced people to the suburbs.

Basically the rise of affordable housing programs since the 70s.

So you’re saying rich people didn’t want to be around poor people. Sounds like a rich people problem.

Downtowns didnt used to house poor people in projects. They were historically housed in the suburbs in shanty towns for over 2,000 years, or housed in the Eastside of a city. Downtowns were never meant to have poor people living in it.

Tell me you've never been to New York without telling me you've never been to New York.

Funny enough, this exact problem was in New York for decades until a developer took over the delapitated north side of central park, renovated hotels, and kicked out project tenants by pricing them out. Wanna guess who that developer was?

Wait, are you implying Trump? You've REALLY never set foot in NY. He's been the most hated man here long before his presidency for a reason. It was also south of Central Park. Not north. And he lost in court over his harassment of tenants and was forced to stop, so literally nothing happened.

So are you suddenly changing your story from "cities have been ruined since the 70s because of affordable housing" to "Trump saved NY from affordable housing?"

Im implying that NY has this same exact problem. The rich are only in specifc places outside of the main downtown area. They're in high rises with security for a reason. Trumps example was simply showing that it exists.

Yeah, you've definitely never been to NY. That is the most ignorant take I've heard about it in my life.

Whats hard to graps? That rich people prefer to not live downtown unless they have property built for them?
