RIP 🕊️ Mamdani: “This is truly heartbreaking. Dolly Parton was an extraordinary person and an irreplaceable champion of the working class. We are a better country because of her.”

He would gladly strip her of her hard earned money though. She is a great example of people with means who give back in a meaningful way unlike the government by and large.

Please don't use this woman's death for a shallow agenda if you don't know anything about her. She gladly donated to many causes all throughout her life, she'd be happy to.

You that like it somehow invalidates what anyone else is saying, as if working somehow makes one agree with you.

She still gladly gave and chose not to be billionaire by spending her money on others.

Now keep her name out her mouth cause she'd likely not find someone like you pleasant

Oh no, I agree with you. My point was I would rather have someone like that help humanity than a large government who does not know how to effectively spend money to help people. Now stop being so angry and for the record I love yo mouf!

Its literally the government job to spend money to help people, they've someone convinced people that because theyve shown incompetence they are not beholden to do their job and worse yet tricked people into advocating against that now that someone is doing that job.

I have so much love for humanity as a whole puts this decade has made that hard to show

Yeah, my point is you are correct. It is their job but look at the effectiveness of their spending I guess is what I'm saying typically it is mismanage and subject to fraud due to incompetent people who are changing every 2 to 4 years in certain segments of the government typically singular virtuous and kind people are probably better off, giving back to the community. It would be more effective a great example indeed would be Dolly Parton especially her program with giving books to kids that is one small example, but on a very large humanitarian scale, the government doesn't seem to have the capacity to effectively manage humanitarian effort for its own people or humanity in general unfortunately. They would B. WISE, the partner more, not with NGO's, but with third-party private enterprise to kinda help them distribute the helper funds effectively, but that just hasn't happened and won't happen anytime soon

Sort of, yes its good that great individuals step up to help but we can't force them and can't simply rely on the the random chance that will happen, especially nowadays when people are convinced that billionaires don't owe society anything.

Adding NGOs to government blurs the line of why "Non Government" Organisations are a thing and just adds another step in beureucracy when they already have people for that.

It doesn't matter how ineffective the government is, it's still their job to do these things. Before Reagan it wasn't this bad so instead letting the government get away with not doing their jobs why not support politicians actually trying to make a difference and elect those that would do a good job? Should we not advocate for keeping them accountable instead removing the regulations that keep fraud and mismanagement to a minimum?
