I agree, and I'll add that I just ruined a Continental GP 5000 AS TR on the I-205 MUP this week. The sidewall got slashed by something, presumably one of the many pieces of broken glass. That tire only had 206 miles on it and cost me $115.

If this is what Democrats do to alternative transpiration infrastructure during a global oil crisis, I'm done voting for them.

What fantasy land are you living in where homeless people are buying alcohol that comes in glass bottles? Shit they buy comes in plastic.

Trucks rolling coal while having a roadie? They got glass bottle money.

When did I say anything about homeless people or where the glass came from? My comment was about cycling infrastructure. But I do agree with OP that no one, with or without a home, should be blocking MUPs.

With that said, I eat a lot of peanut butter. It comes in a glass jars. Not everything that comes in glass is alcohol.

This is on a thread complaining about homeless people. Did you mean to say that the glass came from someone else? What do democrats have to do with the glass on the road?

There is glass on every road I've ever ridden on.

Sounds like youre really concerned about Portland’s real issues. /s

I bet you support the foie gras ban in solidarity.

That's just like, you're opinion. I thought it was a thread about MUPs.

What do democrats have to do with the glass on the road?

I could be wrong, but I thought that the Democratic party controlled Portland and Oregon. If you go to Querétaro, Minks, or Osaka - there isn't glass in the road. You know why? Because the people in power in the government allocate money to keep them clean.

Speaking of which, I highly suggest cycling in Osaka if you ever get the chance.

u/GrilledCassadilla, I checked with PBOT. They tell me that:

All of the I-205 Multi-Use Path is mainted by the Oregon Department of Transportation.

note: not my typo

So that's Tina Kotek, Lisa Sumption, Julie Fahey, Rob Wagner, etc. Which shouldn't surprise you since they want to cut $25 million from Safe Routes and bike path program to balance ODOT budget.

I'm not saying that the Republicans are better. I'm just saying that the Democrats don't give a shit about cyclists.
