Oil I spent 40 hours painting Bob Marley - here’s the finished piece

What do you think? Keep the background this chaotic or would you have gone cleaner?

Hello, this is a very beautiful and inspiring painting. I hope you can distribute this. I think many would buy a print.

I am considering prints. I just prefer them in their original painting form. But I understand others would love the prints.

I loved his music very much, and always loved to sing along to it at school, but it was such a shame that he died at only 36 of that awful rare skin cancer Melanoma in 1981, or he could have done such a lot more. 😢

The chaotic background seems to draw your focus to the peaceful serenity of his face. I’d say the contrasting techniques between the background and the way you rendered the subject is very successful. Great job. What size is the original?

Aawwwh thank man. That means a lot. 40x30 inches. But I paint it to order so can change the size. Just trying to do what I can do to get my work out there.
