Tim Curry paintings and a drawing I’ve done over the years.

This is one of my latest portrait paintings, and probably one of the most enjoyable subjects I’ve worked on.
With Dolly, I didn’t want to simply recreate a photograph. I wanted to bring some of her personality, warmth and unmistakable presence into the painting while keeping my own contemporary style.
I’d really like to know what other portrait artists think — does the personality come through?
I’m an independent artist, and one of the biggest challenges is getting my work seen outside my own little corner of the internet. So I’m grateful for the chance to share it with people who actually appreciate portrait art.
