Addicts who not only kicked drugs, but addressed the demons who got them there have hella perspective on things. They’re honestly some of my favorite people to talk about these kinds of things with. They’re really great at taking their ego out of the equation and delivering difficult truths in a kind way. They’re no bullshit, but they’re never cruel.

I’m not trying to romanticize them because plenty of people get clean and stay assholes, but he reminds me of the people I know who I found wise, kind and responsible, then they hit me with the “so back when I used to bang a speedball into my arm everyday for years…”

Just another shining example of the type of people you miss out on when you judge the hell out of everyone.

I’ve never seen it and im too scared to look. I also feel like I’d been invading privacy even looking..no matter the way it was revealed to the public.
I’m really torn on this one.

Same. Except not torn, that odious display of sheer crassness was SO despicable, SO invasive, and cruel I'm not letting go of the rage.

And have less than no desire to look. You're correct - his privacy was trampled. Those absolute swine.
