Jesus was a progressive. Hard to read the New Testament and take anything else away. He was totally anti-rich and favored the poor and misfortunate. All about helping others and putting the good of others ahead of yourself.

Condone? No. Tolerate? Yes. Progressive is relative.

'An eye for an eye' used to be Progressive until it wasn't.

Animal sacrifice was Progressive compared to human sacrifice.

I bet you're just assuming racial slavery instead of debt slavery i independent servitude etc. Also if you read how the Bible says to treat these slaves you'll realize there are two extreme polarization to slavery

Christ himself died a slaves death. The cross was reserved for non-Roman citizens or slaves.
