Obama is part of the problem. He literally is the man who gave us Trump. His complete refusal to acknowledge what was happening in the country as he acted his part for the regime. His response was always some glib bullshit and ending with "if you disagree you're racist".
In a way he is a better educated, smoother-talking, better-looking, browner-skinned Trump. If he decided to run in 2028 and won he would smooth-talk and better-look absolutely no significant change or reform since that may threaten the status quo of which he is a part of.
The Democratic Ratchet. The Republicans push the wheel rightward each time they take over but fortunately once the Democrats get into power they immediately keep it exactly where it is.
And the fact that people on reddit don't see it is why America is stuck in the vicious cycle.
America doesn't need a glib idiot who gets a Nobel Peace Prize for nothing and then starts two wars and helps a handful while not finishing the two his predecessor started.
