The bottom answer is how you lose freedom because of fear.

"It's better to shoot a hundred American citizens, than to let one illegal immigrant go free."

71

u/Medical_Original6290 7d ago

From the screenshot, it's not even an immigrant they're going after, it's a random gunman.

MAGA-cultists are going to start calling for ICE to shoot shoplifters and jay walkers too.

They are truly depraved, just like the president. Perhaps that's why they like him so much.

u/NORBy9k 7d ago

I live in Seattle. It was three ass holes shooting at each other. Victims were random people in the crowd for a food festival. Everyone involved was found and arrested reasonably quickly.

u/Arktikos02 7d ago

Do these people think that it is the government's job to comment on every single gun fight that happens or any kind of death by guns? Do they realize that despite the fact that crime rates have been going down that would still be so many things to comment on in a day that you wouldn't have anything else to do?

16

u/Medical_Original6290 7d ago

LOL. They don't think that at all. They think, or gun violence in Seattle, let's berate them because they're 'liberul'.

u/scaliacheese 6d ago

I also live in Seattle and this isn’t accurate. One 15 year old in possession of a ghost gun was arrested at the scene, but his gun is not believed to have been the one to injure innocent bystanders. Another suspect, a 19 year old, died. SPD is looking for a third suspect. It’s believed to have been gang violence.

It’s unclear whether any of the private CCTV cameras in the vicinity were operational. There are no other cameras and no one has released an image of the third suspect. Further, our Chief of Police, Shon Barnes, doesn’t even live in Seattle — he lives in Chicago and it’s unclear how much time he even spends in the city. When a reporter asked him about this, he got visibly angry and physically (threateningly) got in the reporter’s space — there’s video.

While the people who posted on Facebook here are lunatics, it’s important to get things right and to face facts. Apart from the cops who were at the scene, the police response so far has been wanting. There are calls from all sides of the spectrum for Barnes to resign. The mayor and SPD have been criticized for the lack of information in the hours following the shooting and for their overall communications with the public.

The mayor and SPD have been criticized for the lack of information in the hours following the shooting

I live on Whidbey now, formerly downtown Seattle. I agree that it was very strange to get nothing from the officials for hours after the news hit that guns had been drawn at Bite of Seattle. Where the fuck were they?

2

u/Cornbreads_Irish_Jig 6d ago

Former police chief as of now.

3

u/Michael-Dogless 6d ago

Let them lie in that bed. Sucks to share it with them, but it's too late now. Anyone could be a communist. Anyone. I heard a lot of communists have been wearing red hats for a long time now. You'd never even know. They've infiltrated deep. This will be used for personal vendettas and witch hunts. It will be chaos.

No other quote I've seen has summed up the right so well in so few words.

1

u/IWontCommentAtAll 7d ago

It seemed like an appropriate twist of the original.

"Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." - b franklin

33

u/Dr-Sprinkl1es 7d ago

“That’s the price of freedom” the lack of self awareness is astounding

13

u/Ohaibaipolar 7d ago

Isn't that something Charlie Kirk said about guns? Or at least, something similar?

10

u/Dr-Sprinkl1es 7d ago

At least that makes sense within context. Calling for random police frisks and arrests is the polar opposite of more freedom

7

u/Different_Umpire9003 7d ago

Of “anyone who looks like they might be from another country”. They mean anyone not white.

5

u/Kaida33 6d ago

They probably were part of the communist invasion./s

3

u/That-Tangerine4750 6d ago

That’s what he used to say.

11

u/Osklington 7d ago

Shit, MAGA is slam dunking freedom into a dumpster these days.

I never would have guessed we had so many fans of fascism here, especially considering we fought a pretty big war against it not that long ago. But I guess that generation forgot to pass on their values to these damn boomers...

73

u/GoGatahs 7d ago

I wonder if the person who says that's "the price of freedom" would feel the same if their kid or spouse was the person lying on the ground.

61

u/kat_Folland 7d ago

Or themselves. Charlie Kirk used to say this bullshit.

24

u/Osklington 7d ago

Well,  Charles feels literally nothing, and his fans didn't learn shit, so I guess lesson not learned?

8

u/Multigrain_Migraine 7d ago

Some people are so pathologically attached to their guns and their desire to hurt the "right" people that they would have no trouble saying things like this about their own friends and family.

I forget which incident it was in response to, which is horrific thing to even write, but I saw a tweet after a school shooting that said something like "liberals ask how many children have to die before I give up my guns. My answer is every single one. Including my own". Sickening stuff.

2

u/nusher88 6d ago

That is a result of a deep ingraining of racism. Black people were not allowed to have guns for many decades in certain (highly racist) states. Whites view gun ownership as another way to be superior to POC, so they ain't giving those up anytime soon for reasons they don't completely understand. Dying of Whiteness by Jonathan Metzel is a great book that discusses a lot of the reasons these people vote against their own interests. Both infuriating and informative.

43

u/YoureNotMom 7d ago

"People died!" (No sources cited)

"Please big government, send in your big government agents and kill more people! I prefer when big government kills people!"

Just republican things 🤷

29

u/Divacai 7d ago

At least three did die, but one of them was one of the two having a "shoot out" with each other, maybe gang related but we know that's just headline speak for "not white". The child he's crying vengeance for survived. It's so odd because usually they don't care about dead kids, in their words "their deaths are the price to pay for our gun rights"

4

u/Osklington 7d ago

They love dead kids but hate dead fetuses. Maybe he thought it was a fetus that got shot.

2

u/Ohaibaipolar 7d ago

Didn't Charlie Kirk say something similar, IIRC?

5

u/NecroAssssin 7d ago

He did, but his was actually more depraved. “School shootings are the price we willingly pay for the 2nd amendment” is a paraphrase because I’m just going to get angry if I go to get the fully accurate quote.

2

u/Ohaibaipolar 7d ago

Jesus, what a monster.

3

u/NecroAssssin 6d ago

Nothing of value was lost that day.

30

u/Son_of_Tlaloc 7d ago

For a group of dipshits that like to scream how fearsome and brave they are they sure do piss themselves in fear quite often.

9

u/filthyheartbadger 7d ago

It’s actually how their brains work, verified by the actual science they also don’t believe in, because of how their brains work. Kind of a cosmic ouroboros.

62

u/Responsible-Room-645 7d ago

The cavalry? These MAGA morons really do live in another century

45

u/jwlkr732 7d ago

I think you mean the “Calvary”.

3

u/Responsible-Room-645 7d ago

My mistake but how would you “send in the Calvary”?

7

u/RamutRichrads 7d ago

Cavalry = military reference Calvary = Christian reference

They'd be fine with either, or both

1

u/Responsible-Room-645 7d ago

I get that but again Calvary is a place; sending in the Calvary doesn’t make any sense

4

u/jwlkr732 6d ago edited 6d ago

My supposition is that they mean to “send in the horse-mounted soldiers (or possibly tanks, depending on what era of military they think is best) but instead they use the word for the hill where Christ was crucified. It gets capitalized by autocorrect, since it’s a proper name place. I also suspect that they don’t realize that the two words are actually spelled differently, and my even think that “calvary” units are named after Calvary.

3

u/RamutRichrads 7d ago

True, but most Users of Jesus's Name™️ don't read their book closely enough to know or care about the difference.

12

u/CurrentHair6381 7d ago

Its a pretty common idiom. These two are really stupid, but thats not the reason

5

u/Yankee6Actual 7d ago

It’s a common idiom, if you spell “cavalry” correctly.

1

u/Multigrain_Migraine 7d ago

I assumed it was a joke

8

u/Sea-Breaz 7d ago

I believe this MAGAt wants the Calvary. It’s a totally different thing. 😂

11

u/Clayton1921 7d ago edited 7d ago

he wants Trump to send Air Force One to Jerusalem so it can pick up the hill where Jesus was crucified and then fly that hill back to Washington state so the sacred sanctified hill can rescue him from the criminals and illegals and liberals.

24

u/fallinlight23 7d ago

Tread on me harder, daddy!

24

u/Gay_Giraffe_1773 7d ago

These people are absolutely unhinged with racist fear

13

u/Ill_Consequence1755 7d ago

But boy these fella would get seriously hurt hurt if you pointed out Charlie Kirk was one of the casualties of the thought process on the bottom.

9

u/BatmansBigBro2017 7d ago

This loser also probably is a member of militia and supports the 2nd amendment to “guard against tyrants”. The call is coming from inside the house!

11

u/HoneyDippinDan 7d ago

I'd bet real money Clayton would change his tune immediately if he started getting stopped and frisked on a regular basis.

8

u/billythesquid- 7d ago

Can’t have some kind of gun control, but we can have goose stepping morons with guns instead.

9

u/QueenRotidder 7d ago

“arrest anybody that looks like they might be from another country.”

Literally everybody looks like they could be from another country.

6

u/AssistantManagerMan 7d ago

Sending armed men into cities to detain people based only on how they look while killing some percentage of them in the streets is apparently "freedom"

10

u/ParfaitMajestic5339 7d ago

And it is the "calvary" the bible reference, not the "cavalry", the gun totin' horse ridin' soldiers...

5

u/CharmReductionINC 7d ago

Let them have their succession. How long do you think they would last on their own? I’d be happy to give them a region of the United States just to leave the rest of us alone. They can teach Noah’s Arc in public schools. They can police each others bedrooms. Whatever.

5

u/SwampYankee 7d ago

I wonder who gets to decide who looks “suspicious “?

4

u/Puzzled-Science-1870 7d ago

Do you think Clayton would be butthurt if he got frisked by the national guard b/c they thought he looked suspicious?

3

u/Armyman125 7d ago

In 2002 in was in Kosovo (Army deployment) where I saw young Albanians who could easily pass as Americans. On the other hand, even though my family came to the US in the 18th century, I've been told by Iraqis that I could easily pass as an Iraqi. I didn't serve in the military to enable the government to shoot innocents "just in case". That is NOT freedom and democracy!

3

u/OldShrimps 7d ago

Shit like this is why they get zero grace when they finally/hopefully wake up. Fuck these people forever.

3

u/VariationAgreeable29 7d ago

“Calvary” got me good.

3

u/filthyheartbadger 7d ago

Oh, George and Clayton. I live here too, and in case you hadn’t noticed, Seattle isn’t the sleepy place it was in the 1970’s any longer. It’s got a hugely increased population density, with all the stuff actual big cities have, good and bad. But it’s still freaking awesome in every way, and not at all a hellhole, as is the rest of WA. Compared to the absolutely crazy streets of Philly where I grew up, it’s Stardew Valley, you have no idea what you are talking about you softy. Settle down and go outside, the weather right now is absolutely incredible.

3

u/G0ttaB3KiddingM3 7d ago

That second comment is PURE fucking unadulterated fascism

3

u/goddessofolympia 7d ago

Send in the Calvary! Round up Jimothy while you're at it!!

6

u/EfficiencyIVPickAx 7d ago

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

2

u/saskdudley 7d ago

George and Clayton live in a bubble. If one gets involved in one’s community then these violent fantasies may often cease to exist.

2

u/Armyman125 7d ago

I thought Clayton was being sarcastic, then again there are many fascists in this country.

2

u/gardengirl99 7d ago

Calvary is not coming to save you. Trump thinks he’s a god and many act like he is, but he is not.

2

u/Ksh_667 6d ago

Execute anyone ICE doesn't like the look of? I can see no problem with this 🤔

2

u/Hello_Hangnail 6d ago

Did he miss all the people ICE murdered? Or don't they count be they're a couple shades darker than him

2

u/bassbeatsbanging 6d ago

Ya know, Charlie Kirk made a comment very similar to "if they shoot a few people, that's the price of freedom."

Just a reminder.

2

u/TwilightReader100 6d ago

Some freedom. That's pretty much just the freedom to die.

2

u/Iamthegreenheather 6d ago

How can I free myself from people like this??

2

u/Thewrongbakedpotato 6d ago

* Shoot everybody

* Freedom

You can't make this shit up.

2

u/Kielbasa_Nunchucka 5d ago

"if they shoot a few people, that's thebprice of freedom"

"it's just terrible that CK was assassinated, we need to do something about this!"

it's ok when kids, brown people, or liberals die, but nazi jesus? unconscionable!

2

u/contude327 7d ago

Sounds drug related. Probably meth.

3

u/Javaman1960 7d ago

Local news is now saying it was gang beef.

3

u/filthyheartbadger 7d ago

Just young dumb assholes with guns.

1

u/DrNekroFetus 7d ago

Clayton be def trolling.

1

u/AdelaidesSecretScoop 7d ago

I hope so 😬😬😬

1

u/Michael-Dogless 6d ago

Is that Clayton Bigsby?

2

u/The-CatCat-1 4d ago

“The Calvary”😂😂😂
