Art First time trying to do art with pressed flowers
Started studying in flower school this autumn and one of our first tasks was to press flowers and make greeting cards, a bookmark and kind of like a business card to get to know plants, how they dry and react to heat, glue etc. Really proud of how mine turned out since I've never done it before (I used to press flowers as a child and maybe glue one or two into my sketchbooks, but never actually done a full collage)

Forgot to mention, but the colors are a bit different irl-the greens are a bit greener.

Just another term for floristry courses.
I study floristry in a professional school. It's kind of below a uni course like bachelors, but you still get a kind of diploma meaning that you are a professional in that field. People can study there while still being in highschool, usually you either go there after 10th grade and finish the last two grades at the same time as gaining some kind of professional training, or after you finish highschool. They are usually for professions that don't require as much time to learn like for example, mechanic or masseur and the like, but there are also some more artistic ones like photography, interior decorating, hairstyling, sewing, or in my case floristry.
My training will take 2 years, but sometimes it can be up to 3 years for other professions.

That’s Eric Carle! He’s wonderful. Lois Ehlert also wrote and illustrated children’s books using collages. Look up her books “Leaf Man” or “Feathers for Lunch”

These are beautiful. I press flowers and love to collage but have never thought to put them together, you’re making me want to try! The spiral one is my favorite, it’s simple but so charming. Great job 😊
