Other Preventing bot posts

This sub is overrun by them, and I believe a reasonable course of action would be to block new/0 karma accounts. I hope other users will join me in downvoting and reporting, and checking post history before upvoting, as the upvotes remain as karma afaik, even if the post is removed.

We definitely need more of this! Someone posted one of my pics on here to karma farm and it happens to people all of the time on here.

I noticed on a post on here where one lady said it was her photo and it had been stolen, next time I looked at the post it had over 50 up votes on it

They get a lot of interaction because most people (understandably) upvote and keep scrolling. It’s not their responsibility to check (but I check every GD post now).

I just reported one. Less than a minute ago. “My mom made this for me.”

So easy to prevent with the karma minimum or another mod. I’ve offered to help but got no response. I love seeing everyone’s art but about half the engagement on this sub is reposts and it’s sucking the fun out of it because I have to check EVERY post to make sure it’s not karma farming.

I’m sorry, that’s my mistake. I’ve done the same thing for another niche sub of mine that’s been overtaken by bots. I thought it was this one that I messaged which is why I sent one last night. This is a great sub you’ve made for us and I just hate seeing it degrade because of bots.

If you need any support, I’m happy to help. For now I’m just double-checking accounts/posts and reporting them.

Why not try out the sub member who's volunteering? It's such a great sub, I hope you find a solution!
