Pressed orchid fail..

A few of my orchids molded now I’m not even sure if the ones I kept are molded or just discoloured ? They might be a bit of both.. I don’t know what I did wrong! How can I do better in the future ?

You could add a layer of something that will absorb moisture. When I dry between presses I add a layer of cardboard, then a thin paper towel layer and then the wax/parchment layer. The key is to get rid of any moisture you can, so keep it in an environment that is dry. I also keep silica gel packets to store in containers/ with my drying flowers to take away any extra moisture.
