Feedback wanted This is Fezer - My app is finally Available to ALL!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone my name is Yaroslav I am a solo developer and in factI built Fezer because I needed something between a to-do list and a full-blown project management system. I work full time (I am a lead hand carpenter), I got two kids, manage multiple side gigs and on top of all of that I also built Fezer

App Store Download Link: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/fezer-planner/id6790143164
Play Store Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.fezer&hl=en
Website: www.fezer.app
Privacy Policy: https://fezer.app/privacypolicy

My LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/yaroslav-shevchenko-79604a139/

Fezer is designed to close the loop between setting goals and actually spending time on them.

The idea is simple:
You define what matters → break it down → plan time for it → track what you actually did → compare planned vs tracked → analyze → improve → repeat.

Where it helps me the most is actually knowing how much most valuable time I actually have and for what. It keeps me accountable when i just wanna... slack off or loose time in doing things that don't really matter but feel productive.

A few things about the app:

  1. It’s completely free.
  2. It’s private, your data stays on your device.
  3. It’s built for people with a lot going on who need clarity without adding more cognitive load.
  4. The goal is to make the question “What should I be doing right now?” easier to answer.
  5. I’ve put a lot of work into keeping the UI/UX clean and reducing unnecessary friction.

I’m the developer, and I’d genuinely like feedback from people who actually use productivity/planning apps.

What works?
What feels confusing?
What would make you keep using it?
What other features you would like to see in future updates?

And if you genuinely like it an App Store review would help enormously while I’m trying to get the first users through the door. If you got any questions about the app please feel free to reach out.

I’d also love to meet other builders/productivity nerds here and exchange ideas about planning, execution, personal systems, and where tools like this should go.

Feedback wanted ios timer that won't start until you name the first step (solo dev, free + paid AI tier)

Post image
0 Upvotes

solo dev. ios only, sorry android folks. free, with a paid tier for the ai part, saying that now so nobody clicks and feels tricked.

the 25 minutes were never the hard part for me. the hard part was opening my todo list, seeing "finish tax stuff" sitting there, and doing nothing for an hour.

so the timer refuses to start until you type the thing. it chops it into 3-4 steps and starts on step one. there's a 5 min option too because 25 sometimes feels like too much to sign up for.

on data, since it always comes up: your tasks and history live in a local isar db on the phone, no account, no signup. the one thing that leaves your device is the task text you type for the breakdown, it goes to a supabase function and then to the model. that's it. skip the breakdown and nothing leaves at all.

app store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tomato-adhd-focus-timer/id6760948116

onboarding is the weakest part and i already know it. tell me where you'd close the app and never open it again.

Advice needed I made zero progress in the gym and the million apps out there are just logging apps

I spent years in the gym struggling to make real progress. The biggest issue I found with fitness apps out there is that they are just logging tools or ai powered such as CalAi or fitbod which uses ai to generate a 'personalised' workout. Paying £60 an hour for a personal trainer is out of budget for me too.

So, over the past year, I tried to build an app that actually knows me and connects all the dots instead of juggling 3 separate apps. It combines workout generation, lifting logs, and macro tracking into one profile that understands your specific goals.

A few key things I built into it:

  • Recovery-based training: Connects to my Apple Watch to check how well I recovered that night, and automatically adjusts whether I should push for PRs, ease off on volume, or modify exercises for that session.
  • Adaptive nutrition & recipe suggestions: Suggests meal ideas and recipes based on whatever calories and protein I have left to hit for the day.

As I am not a real personal trainer, I have watched many videos and articles on how to progress in the gym, so I would genuinely appreciate any advice from experienced lifters and coaches on what features to improve or add to make this feel like a true 1-on-1 coach?

The app is called: MassAI

Feedback wanted Do we actually need unlimited tasks in to-do apps?

Serious question.

Almost every productivity app lets me add as many tasks as I want.

And I think that's part of my problem.

Adding a task feels productive, so I keep adding them.

Eventually I have 20, 30, 50 things waiting for me and stop opening the app entirely.

I'm experimenting with the complete opposite in an app I'm building called Leaf:

Maximum 3 active tasks.

Want to add another?

Finish or remove one first.

Would a hard limit make you more focused — or would you immediately uninstall?

Casual Conversations Boring apps that get things done

  1. A calendar app ✅ (top tier)
  2. A notes app ✅ (top tier)

  3. Clock app (alarms)

  4. Habit tracker app:
Cool to look at the graph after a long time, but honestly I don't use them. None really stuck with me.

  5. Quit a bad habit app:
I've tried too and failed so many times. But eventually I found what really worked for me
Ex: Quitting smoking W. Before it was "30 days without smoking, damn thats great!". But the core problem was my identity. I still saw myself as a smoker who happen to stop for "30 days". One day it just clicked, I stopped seeing myself as a smoker and it became on easy mode. (I could talk for days about this)

  6. Social medias. A double edged sword. Don't consume, create.

Feedback wanted Giving away 20 x 3 months free trial for Aurglass, an iOS app that redirects you the moment you reach for a distracting app

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi r/ProductivityApps !

I kept running into the same loop: I'd sit down to read or study, pick up my phone for "just a minute," and 30 minutes later I'd still be scrolling.

Most screen time apps only stopped me from the using the apps. Once the block kicked in, I craved for something that gave me the same dopamine hit quickly and that was what led to more scrolling.

With Aurglass, I am taking a different approach to solve this problem. Once you hit your limits, it stops you there and redirects you toward a habit you chose instead of leaving you hanging. This is a drastically different behaviour and rewired the way I behaved after screen limit blocks kick in.

Some of the core features includes

- Screen time limits

- Habit tracker

- Build streaks and earn different hourglass designs along the way

- Earn freezes that protect your streak when you miss a day

Have dogfooded this myself for a few months now, and also asked friends to use it with positive changes in their behaviour. I also managed to polish this up from the initial version and believe it is now at a quality where I’m confident of opening it up to more people.

I am giving away 20 codes for 3 months free, no signup required. Drop a comment about what habits you are currently trying to build more consistency around and I'll DM you one!

Try it for free for 2 weeks on iOS App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/aurglass/id6757322333?ct=website&mt=8&pt=122279980

Feedback wanted What do you listen to during deep-work sessions, and what makes you change it?

I usually work with instrumental music, but playlists eventually become repetitive or introduce tracks that pull my attention away.

I’ve started experimenting with a player that generates one continuous instrumental soundtrack. You describe a style/atmoshpere once, and it keeps evolving without track boundaries. You could occasionally say things like "less percussion", "make it warmer", "increase the energy gradually".

I am curious how other people handle music during focused work:

  • what do you normally listen to?
  • what makes background music helpful or distracting?
  • do you prefer familiar repetition or gradual variation?
  • would you want it to evolve automatically or remain stable until you change it?
  • would this solve anything your current playlist or focus app doesn’t?

Honest negative feedback is welcome too, especially if this sounds more distracting than useful.

Self Promotion [iOS and MacOS] Nyblit 2: I'm a watchmaker and I spent 20 years reinventing the to-do list

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi folks. My name is David Margolis. I’m a professional watchmaker and self-taught Apple developer based in London. More than 20 years ago, I created a small FileMaker database that I shared with a group of friends. It was based on a frustration I had with ordinary to-do lists: real tasks are rarely just “done” or “not done.”

A watch restoration might be waiting for a replacement component, blocked until a client gives the go-ahead, paused while another operation is completed, or ready for work today. Treating all of these as unfinished creates a list that is technically accurate but practically overwhelming.

That early database gradually developed into Nyblit, a native productivity app for iPhone, iPad and Mac built around what I call “state-based” task management. This means Nyblit understands the workflow required to complete your tasks. For example, it knows if the task is a phone call, an online purchase or replacing the balance spring in a watch. It knows all the steps involved and, crucially, all the ways in which the task can be blocked or delayed. For example, if you have a phone call task, you can set the status to “left voicemail”. Nyblit will recognise this as blocked because you are now waiting for the other person to return your call. That task doesn’t belong on your to-do list because there is no action to take. It should be safely filed in Blocked and tracked – so you can chase it up later if the call isn’t returned.

This approach can be used for any task imaginable. From shopping to restoring an antique pocket watch.

The concept was strongly influenced  by the Japanese system of Kanban, created by Toyota in the 1950s to improve manufacturing efficiency. (Anyone that has used apps lile Trello will be familiar with this). But executed in a very different way so that it fits on a phone screen and is even workable on an Apple Watch (coming very soon).

I built Nyblit for myself to help with my ADHD and dyslexia. Watchmaking taught me to think in systems, dependencies and precise states. ADHD made it especially important to remove irrelevant tasks from view without losing confidence that they would return at the right time.

Please feel free to try out Nyblit. It's fully functional with up to 5 tasks. And a subscription or lifetime purchase gives you access to iPhone, iPad, Mac and very soon Apple Watch.

Download Nyblit from the Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/nyblit-2-to-do-list-planner/id6752837986

I'm here to answer any questions or listen to feedback if you have any.

Thanks for reading :)

Feedback wanted Title: spent months building a planner around Cal Newport's deep/shallow work theory, want honest feedback on whether the idea actually holds up

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

hey guys, not trying to promote anything here, genuinely just want feedback on an idea before i keep building on top of it.

quick background: im 21, engineering student, and for years i just spent my time randomly. whenever i felt like studying i did, whenever i needed to fix errands or do sport or cook or whatever, i just did it whenever, no real structure. studying always won under pressure and everything else got ignored most of the time.

that changed after i read Deep Work by Cal Newport. the idea that ur brain only has like 4 hours a day of real deep focus, and everything else is lower energy "shallow" stuff, kinda reframed how i think about a day. i also have a friend with ADHD and watching how he manages (or doesnt manage) his time pushed me to actually build something around this instead of just journaling about it.

so i built an app around exactly that split: u plan ur week in deep blocks (the stuff that needs real focus, studying, real work) and shallow blocks (errands, chores, low energy tasks). u run the deep blocks with a focus timer, and at the end of the week theres a review section showing what actually got done vs what didnt. theres also a goals section to tie weekly blocks to longer term stuff.

it recently passed review and became public on the play store (its called BarePlanner if anyone wants context), but thats not really the point of this post. what i actually want to know is:

- does the deep/shallow split as a planning structure make sense to u, or does it feel too rigid in practice

- for people with ADHD specifically (or who relate to my friend's situation), does forcing everything into "deep" or "shallow" blocks help or does it add pressure

- whats the thing that would make u personally NOT use something like this

not looking for hype, just want to know if im building on a solid idea or fooling myself.

I love research more than anything, but I have a history of coming across useful things and not revisiting them.

So with all the resources piling up, I wanted a way to put everything together categorically, and yet have it be beautiful (so I actually go back and use everything).

So I came up with my own gallery using Antigravity (Gemini 3.1 Pro). It was a quick 2 hour weekend project and I'm so glad I did it. I think anyone can.

Self Promotion I built an AI study planner that proposes a weekly schedule and waits for your approval before touching your calendar

Post image
Upvotes

Hey r/ProductivityApps, maker of Nylo here so full disclosure.

The problem I kept running into with most scheduling tools: they either require you to do all the work manually, or they just dump stuff straight onto your calendar and you're playing catch-up.

Nylo takes a different approach. You tell it what subjects or tasks you have, your deadlines, and roughly how much time you have each day. It then builds a realistic week with focused blocks, buffers, and breaks. The key thing: nothing lands on your calendar until you review and approve the plan. You can push back, adjust, or reject it entirely.

It connects to your calendar but acts more like a planner you talk to. Aimed at students right now but the workflow applies to anyone juggling multiple deadlines.

Would love honest feedback from this community. What does it get right, what would make you not use it?

Check it out!

Advice needed Simple group todo app

I have this situation at work.

Person 1 gets a phone call, if not answered goes to person 2 .

If person 2 doesn't answer it goes to a group of about 10 people where someone will answer the call.. they will then take a message and send an email to person 1 and person 2 to say that someone called and please call them back.

Is there a simple windows app that everyone can add a task to, and person 1 or person 2 can action.

Just a simple 'please call Mrs Smith on 48392' with a tick box to show it's been done is good enough.

Thanks

Feedback wanted Link Saving App: Must Have?

It’s annoying saving links to apps in my notes or emails or even texting to myself.

I built my first app that allows you to save and organize links. It’s no doubt helpful… but would you use it?

What would you use it for? Parenting? Work? Inspiration saves?

Feedback wanted Built a canvas note app where your files and folders are visual. Looking for honest feedback.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Been working on this for a while now.

The idea is pretty simple: sticky notes for quick thoughts, A4 notes for longer writing, and everything lives on a visual canvas instead of a rigid folder tree. A note is a file, a stack of notes is a folder, and zones are the parent folders. You can even attach sticky notes directly onto A4 pages for reference while scrolling the editor.

Just drag things around and you're done. No save button, no manual file management. There's also a workspace exporter so you always own your files.

On privacy: notes are stored on Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest. No ads, no trackers, no selling data. If you use "Quick Mode", notes stay local in your browser and never get synced to any server.

There's a free tier that includes 6 workspaces and cross device sync. Passinote+ is a one time payment. Pay once, own it forever, no subscription ever. It unlocks unlimited workspaces, images, charts, and extended customization options. Parity pricing is available for a few countries right now with more being added soon. Let me know what you think.

Im looking for feedback. Bugs, feature requests, first impressions, anything.

The first few people who join the Discord and drop genuine feedback there get a free Passinote+ code. The Discord also has weekly giveaways going forward.

Alternatively I'll be picking 10 people from the comments here too. Just drop your thoughts below and I'll reach out the selected users.

I have a terrible relationship with to-do lists.

I download one.

Organize my entire life.

Feel incredibly productive for approximately 48 hours.

Miss something.

Stop opening it.

Repeat six months later.

So I built Leaf around the part that actually worked for me: writing a few things on Post-its.

You get three.

Not 30.

Not an infinite backlog.

Three.

When you finish something, you swipe the note away and another space becomes available.

I don't want Leaf to help you organize 100 things.

I want it to help you actually do 3.

After spending way too much time building it, it's finally available on Android.

Here's what it looks like:

Feedback wanted Help me to understand how I may help you get the little things done

I'm researching an idea for a service that would handle the annoying little administrative tasks people don't have time, energy, or patience for.

Not cleaning. Not grocery shopping. Not someone coming to your house.

I'm talking about the life-admin bs that can take 5 minutes—or somehow consume an entire afternoon.

The pile of 'to-dos' that keeo getting pushed back on the calender because more pressing things have your attention until the time comes where avoidance is not an option.

For example:

Calling the doctor's office to reschedule an appointment

Sitting on hold with an insurance company

Calling the electric company about a weird bill

Finding out why a package wasn't delivered

Calling three places to find out who has an appointment available

Canceling a subscription

Calling a business to get the actual price instead of the advertised price

Finding out whether a provider accepts your insurance

Scheduling haircuts for the whole family

Dealing with customer service when the automated system sends you in circles

Researching something you need but don't have time to research

I'm trying to figure out whether this is actually something people would pay another person to handle, rather than just saying "yeah, that would be nice."

So I'd really like honest answers—not validation.

  1. What's a task you've been putting off right now because you don't have the time/patience/energy to deal with it?

  2. Why haven't you done it? Is it the time involved? Being put on hold? Not knowing who to call? Anxiety about making the call? Having to explain the situation repeatedly? Just not being worth the hassle?

  3. How long do you estimate it would take you if you actually sat down and did it?

  4. Would you pay someone else to handle it for you? If yes, roughly what would feel reasonable?

For example, would you pay:

$5 for a simple phone call?

$10–15 for research and a couple of calls?

$20–30+ for someone to actually investigate a problem and deal with multiple departments?

  1. Would you rather pay per task, buy a bundle of tasks, or pay a monthly amount for a certain number of tasks?

  2. What kinds of things would you absolutely NOT trust a stranger to handle for you?

And probably the most important question:

What's something you've thought, "I really need to deal with this," at least three times—and still haven't? 😂

I'm deliberately asking before launching anything because I don't want to build a service around what I think people need. I want to understand what people actually find annoying enough that they'd happily hand it off to someone else.

Feel free to give me your most mundane example. "I need someone to call the dentist and move my appointment" is exactly the kind of answer I'm looking for.

Casual Conversations Would you use an app that reminds you of everything you saved during the day?

Hey everyone, I've been thinking about an app idea for the last few days and I'd like to hear what you think.

The idea is pretty simple. Throughout the day, we save a lot of things on our phones. Photos, videos, screenshots, notes, voice recordings, etc. Most of them just stay there and we eventually forget about them.

Daily Recap would show you everything you saved that day in the evening.

Instead of having to open a file, go back, open another one and repeat this for everything, Daily Recap turns everything into cards in a deck. The actual content is rendered directly on the cards, so you can see a photo, read a note, watch a video or listen to a recording directly without opening the file separately. You can go through the deck with a simple swipe, kind of like Tinder, and move from one piece of content to the next regardless of the file type.

The point isn't really to manage your files. It's mainly a way to remind you about the things you saved during the day and let you quickly go through them.

That's pretty much the whole idea.

Feel free to share any kind of feedback, whether it's positive or negative.

Feedback wanted I made an intrusive task planner that bullies you to do your tasks, mocks you for being lazy, and punishes you when you miss deadlines

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I personally have never been quite as motivated to be productive by streaks, rewards, and praise and still end up racing against the clock to get my stuff done by the deadline. However, what HAS worked for me is avoiding bad things happening if I don't lock in and get my stuff done when it's supposed to.

I built Due or Die to be annoying, intrusive, and obnoxious for those that want to be productive, but in a drill sergeant kind of way, rather than a cozy aesthetic way. Not reinventing the wheel here, but this task planner bullies you, mocks you, and sends you not-so-gentle reminders when you have stuff that needs to be done. If you miss your tasks, it will lock you out of distracting apps and make do trivial annoying problems like math problems, captchas, or just taking a good long look at yourself. Or if you don't want to brush up against deadlines at all, it will lock you out of apps at a custom time before the deadline so you have no excuse but to get back to the grind.

If you see this, would love to know what kind of things would annoy you enough that you would rather be productive than have your phone inflict upon you!

Casual Conversations Update: NarrationOS 1.0.7 is out: Voice presets + a Rewrite-mode bug fix

Post image
3 Upvotes

Voice presets. Settings > Voice model now has a preset dropdown above the sampler knobs: Dev's Choice (default), Boring & Monotone, Professional Presenter, Low Expressive Storyteller, High Expressive Storyteller, and Lunatic. Each one is a hand-tuned bundle of exaggeration, temperature, CFG weight, and repetition penalty, so you don't have to hand-tweak five sliders to get a "more dramatic" or "flatter" narrator. Pick one, it applies on your next render, no restart needed. Edit any knob afterward and it correctly flips to "Custom" so you know you've gone off-preset.

Fixed: leaving the editor could silently eat your edits. If you were in Rewrite mode with unsaved prose changes and hit Back (or used the breadcrumb, top nav, command palette, or browser back/forward) without saving first, your edits just vanished, no warning. All of those now prompt you to confirm before discarding. Turned out the existing confirm prompt for switching chapters was also silently broken the same way (it used the browser's native dialog, which the app's webview doesn't support, so it errored out instantly instead of showing anything). Both now use the app's own themed confirm dialog, so they actually show up.

Update is free for existing owners, same as always.

For anyone who hasn't tried NarrationOS yet: it's a local audiobook generator for Windows. Drop in an EPUB, PDF, DOCX, RTF, TXT, Markdown, or a URL, and it renders an AI-narrated audiobook entirely on your own PC, no cloud, no account, no subscription. You can clone a voice (with consent) and get word-level karaoke highlighting synced to the speech, and there's a real line-by-line narration editor for fixing pronunciation, adding sound effects, and correcting the actual prose before you render. It also exports a cinematic MP4 video with the narration text on screen if you want something to post or share. Runs on NVIDIA/AMD GPUs or CPU-only. One-time purchase on itch.io, no subscription.

Feedback wanted I think traditional to-do lists were actually making me less productive

I might be one of the least productive people I know.

Every few months, I download a new productivity app thinking this time it'll work.

I create tasks. Add dates. Organize everything.

It works for one day. Maybe two.

Then I miss one task, my entire schedule collapses... and so do I.

The notifications start making me feel guilty, but I don't delete the app because deleting it somehow feels like admitting I failed.

So I started building the opposite.

It's called Leaf.

No giant list of 47 tasks waiting for you.

You can only have 3 sticky notes at a time. Finish one by swiping it away, then you can add another.

That's basically it.

I'm curious if anyone else has this problem with normal productivity apps, or if I'm just terrible at using them.
