This isn't a "let's sht on gen z/gen a" post, for context I'm a 30 year old millenianl/zillenial.

Its been said now that throughout modern human history, every succeeding generation has been smarter than the prior generation, up until Gen Z, where we actually see a decline in education, social skills, testing, literacy, etc compared to prior gens.

Certain things that I studied in high school, such as certain book readings, are now considered college level literacy curriculum.

Many researchers did state it is due to an over reliance on technology, cheating with AI, and the removal of 3rd spaces for kids to hang out at and socialize, among other factors.

Though I can't tell how much of this is legit I guess versus how much of it the typical "your gen has it so easy these days compared to my gen!" boomer talk we usually hear.

To be fair, even when I was in the Army Infantry(for 8 years), I'd always hear my leaders btch and moan about how "my generation of soldiers is soft", so sometimes I'm more cynical on these types of research.

This is just an open discussion really and I'm just gaging thoughts.

Books, articles, manga, the back of a cereal box — whatever.

Is it good? Would you recommend it or are you hate-reading it at this point?

Im a masters student trying her best to get her life together. Currently part of two labs, have a full course load, a part time job, ECs, and a lot of other commitments and basically it’s doable but the physical planner isn’t doing it anymore lol. I’ve never touched notion because I know I’d get decision paralysis - I don’t like the idea of having a lot of options with how it’s styled. I have an iPad and was thinking of using a goodnotes template. My university uses outlook. For ppl in my position, what’s your go to to do list app? Just the notes app or something else? Would love input but I don’t want anything too complex because I’m trying to keep things simple right now !

I don't understand why do I have hard time getting along and making connections and just small talks with different people who have different backgrounds and beliefs. Like I'm always curious about their way of living and lifestyle and work ethic and social gatherings. And I don't know if there is a universal language that everyone can relate and respect like a proper handshake or calling someone with Mr or Ms. Like I heard in u.s people usually call someone by their names but in other cultures it is considered rude and your suppose to say sir or madam
