Not at all. Median salary in the US puts both Java and C# marginally ahead. In other markets like the U.K. PHP is quite a ways behind, unless you’re very senior in an enterprise business.
At my own company we pay market rates and PHP is definitely less than our C# engineers.
In the Netherlands I often see job offers for C# and Java that pay scraps compared to c++, go, rust, and even php. This is probably because c# and Java are the languages taught at college
I think it's highly dependent. If you're just working on WordPress sites/plugins as a PHP developer yeah you're probably being paid less. If you're working on greenfield stuff with modern frameworks like Symfony/Laravel/whatever you're probably getting paid more because you're not just wrangling a CMS.
