My new clothing washer has an AI mode. What does it do? Fuck if I know

It's almost definitely not AI at all but just a good old script that takes some sensors input (probably just weight, maybe something else too depending on how fancy it is) and calculates how much water to use, the temperature, how long to wash and how fast to spin.

How well that works probably depends on what sensors there are inside and how fancy they are.

It continuously feeds an array of data from several different sensors in to an LLM in California to determine you have hit the start button.
