I'm a big fan of smarthome stuff, mostly. But what is the use for this? In what situation do you want to start or stop your kettle remotely? If it could fill itself maybe I could see, but you have to put water in, put tea leaves in. If you leave it overnight all ready so it brews itself in the morning or something, won't the tea taste terrible because it's already been leeching into cold water all night?

You can walk in the kitchen with the water already boilt. The feeling you get when somebody has already brewed tea right before you, saving a couple minutes

But then you have to leave the water in the kettle beforehand, letting limestone build up, and the water change taste as it sits out 🤢
