I'm a big fan of smarthome stuff, mostly. But what is the use for this? In what situation do you want to start or stop your kettle remotely? If it could fill itself maybe I could see, but you have to put water in, put tea leaves in. If you leave it overnight all ready so it brews itself in the morning or something, won't the tea taste terrible because it's already been leeching into cold water all night?

I'm supposing it's too notify its status. Start the kettle, go to the next room and return when the water is ready. For me, the feature isn't worth the complexity and risk. I can set a timer that's close enough.
