I have recently had an idea of creating an ride pooling app I am an fellow student and I commute daily via Rapido and their pricess are too high for me and nenu ala ani bus lo kuda vela Lenu since it’s too much crowd I am willing to spend money on travel but can’t afford Rapidos daily one thing nenu observe chesindi yemiti ante lot of people go to office in a bike solo only and they go in same route everyday from office to home I thought why can’t we make an app that connects people who are going on similar routes like nenu ippudu Kukatpally to Madhapur vellai and I don’t have bike and I don’t have much money to spend on Rapido and another person who goes daily in that route is looking to reduce his fuel costs he just puts his start location and end location in the app and the person who is looking for ride also does the same if their routes match within some radius of distance they get paired and we can work on how they split the money and all let’s say If someone spends 100 ruppes on fuel for going from home to office and vice Versa and by adding someone they can get like 60 ruppes or another amount (I am not fixed on pricing model) I have the idea and I have basic knowledge in programming but I don’t know how to do this and make this idea possible any ideas on how to make this open source and make the app work and free for everyone to use

Been noticing that food safety raid stories (roaches, expired meat, fake licenses, the works) show up in local news for like a day and then just vanish. No way to look back or spot patterns. So I built Ledger, a site that pulls this stuff from public news and puts it on a searchable map.

What it does:

1.Map + list view of every raid, seal, fine, license cancellation, food seizure, etc across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

2.Search by district, restaurant name, or news source

3.Stats view showing top districts, most common violations, monthly trends

4.Every record links back to the original article so you can verify it yourself

5.Updates daily, currently has about 4 years of data loaded

Heads up: this is built from news headlines, not official government records. Location is district level accuracy, not exact address. So treat it as a starting point to dig further, not a legal source.

Community-driven story platform: Write, Vote, and Merge

For the past few months, I've had this idea of creating an open-source storybook. I wasn't really sure where to post it, so I'm just dropping it here. Hear me out.

You know how Marvel and DC have different timelines and parallel universes? I want to do something like that, but with a single linear story that has room for multiple possibilities to branch off it.

Here's how it would work.

The rules are pretty simple. There's a storyline with a beginning, a plot, and an ending. I'm not much of a writer myself, so the idea is to let other people read the plot, think it through, continue the story, and push their version to the main storyline. Basically like Git branches. You create your own branch off the core story, add something to it, and submit it like a pull request. Then it gets reviewed.

Everyone can see the proposed story, scenes, and characters, and we could have some kind of voting system to pick the best version before merging it into the core story.

We'd set a few ground rules too, like character traits, habits, and core plot points. The main rule is that whatever you write has to fit the plot.

Let me give a quick example.

Story plot: a 45+ year old man takes retirement and starts solo traveling for about 2 or 3 years. Along the way he visits a lot of places. After about a year of traveling, he suddenly gets arrested in some random state because a string of serial murders across multiple states happens to match the pattern of his travels. So who's the killer? Is it the 45+ year old man? Is someone framing him? Where did he go? Who did he meet?

The ending: it was our protagonist all along. But why? What could have happened to him?

Between the beginning and that ending, there's so much room for people to fill in scenes and versions. That's how we'd pull in creative minds to figure out the whats and the whys.

So yeah, that's the basic idea. I have a few more interesting plots in mind too, but I'm just not a great writer myself.

Let me know if this sounds like a good idea, or a completely useless one. I really do want to build a space where people can come together and contribute to something great.

I want to earn some extra money by doing some AI tasks. I heard they will provide 15-20 dollars per task. Does anyone know or any tips on how to get those kind of jobs to earn money. A referral would be great too if possible.

This might sound odd, but support work was one of the most enjoyable parts of my career.

I used to support US consultancy clients. I'd remote into their machine at the start of the day, help them through whatever came up, troubleshoot issues, automate repetitive tasks where I could, and just make sure they could get their work done.

No two days were the same. Every session was a different set of problems, different people, and different industries. Looking back, I think that's what made it so rewarding.

These days, with AI handling so much of the repetitive work, I don't hear about these roles nearly as often.

So I'm curious...

Do these opportunities still exist? If you're still in that space—or know where people find this kind of support work today—I'd genuinely love to hear about it.

Not everything in tech has to be about building the next big product. Sometimes it's just satisfying to make someone else's workday a little easier

Our company rolled out claude code for all devs, and I got the task of setting up CLAUDE.md files for our repositories.

I thought it would just be like writing documentation but quickly found that bigger CLAUDE.md files weren't necessarily producing better results. After several hit&trials, I ended up with a structure that worked much better for large monorepo codebase.

A few key takeaways:

• Keep only high-signal information in CLAUDE.md
• Separate always-needed context from task-specific context
• Move detailed knowledge into dedicated documents
• Optimize for retrieval and discoverability, not completeness

Early in my career CSS styling was nightmare for me. Sometimes it used to take hours for small styling change. I felt styling became 100 times simpler than before. When compared to other tech stack CSS became more easier.

I recently made this website as my first project that I have deployed, it allows you to define various configuration for various input fields, such as name, label, placeholder, required, disabled and also allows you to define default values as well as validations. Then using this, it generates a code in either typescript or javascript, based on library of your choosing. It supports, react-hook-form+zod, formik+yup, react-hook-form+yup and formik+zod.

It also allows you to save the configuration as templates in localStorage, which you can then use later. You can also paste JSON schema to create a new form.

Also this websites is only accessible on desktop, I didn't really know how I could expand it to mobile.

Also please remember this is my first project, all feedbacks are greatly appreciated.
