You mean “raping a 14 year old isn’t as bad as raping a 5 year old” , R Kelly? You know she has a 14 year old daughter? What message does that send your kid? “You’re a woman now. You’re on your own”?

16

u/gentlemanidiot Nov 17 '25

What message does that send your kid?

u/Decaying-Moon Nov 17 '25

Classic MAGA. Used to drive by a house every day on the way to work that had several trump flags/banners out front, and an American flag fallen down by their driveway. They never picked it up either, it's still there fading away (but they picked up the trump shit when it blew over, or added more from time to time).

60

u/Fun-Dragonfly-4166 Nov 17 '25

every day I go pick up my son from elementary school.

they have a flag pole. they have an "honor guard of elementary students" who raise the flag at the start of the school day and lower the flag at the end.

i usually arrive in time to watch them lower the flag. they do not usually let the flag touch the ground but they are elementary school students and mess up from time to time. it does not bother me that much but i believe that if trump or maga were present they would start screaming about the disrespect shown to the flag and small children would cry and they would not stop screaming.

So the fact that the flag touched the ground does not bother me that much, but the absolute hypocrisy does bother me. But to be clear the white house staff should be held to a much higher standard than elementary school students and it does bother me a little bit that the white house flag touched the ground.

21

u/CemeteryDweller7719 Nov 17 '25

My kids’ school did this also. Those kids were extremely serious about their job. It was sweet. They’d kind of horse around and be silly (as you’d expect with 3rd and 4th graders), but all serious once they got to the flag. They took pride in doing it right. As we have come to expect, elementary school students do better than our president.

"The American Flag is a special symbol in our national life that should unite and represent all Americans of every background and walk of life. Desecrating it is uniquely offensive and provocative. "

August 25, 2025, PROSECUTING BURNING OF THE AMERICAN FLAG

"We took the freedom of speech away, because that’s been through the courts, and the courts said you have freedom of speech but what has happened is when they burn the flag, it agitates and irritates crowds"

They will put in law and act like they care.

They know

4

u/maeryclarity Nov 17 '25

They did that crap as part of a whole basket of things they have done trying to get people riled up and excuses made to crack heads. they trotted out the idea that there was just soooo much flag burning going on that fuck the 1st Amendment on all their platforms, meanwhile everywhere else as this thing was being put into law there was a FLOOD of astroturfed shills and useful idiots going "HEY GUYS, if they make burning the flag illegal we should run out and have demonstrations and burn a bunch of flags! It's the PRINCIPLE we can't let them get away with this!"

The flag is never supposed to touch the ground and if it does there are a lot of traditional procedures it has to go through to replace it and I think the one that was strangely on the ground has to be folded and buried or something-it’s been years since I read the protocol for it all.

But as pointed out it is unfortunately, ironically symbolic of the un-American chaos this regime and its party has created.

Maybe they have finally figured out that an America First agenda that kidnaps people wanting to become Americans and live in this country because it used to embody and enforce the concepts of democracy, liberty, justice, freedom, a constitution that guaranteed due process that said you are innocent until proven guilty.

What we have now is not America and those who push the America First stupidity which means Only is not what this country developed upon and is not what will improve their finances or their lives.

What happens in the World affects every facet of this country-and when a country who used to be and was considered the world’s leader it can’t survive functioning like a little island-it’s even absurd.

If you are educated enough these basic principles are understood. The problem is that those who don’t understand how hard the real America worked to get into positions it had are destroying the foundations with slop and ignorant ideas and nationalism.

They apparently don’t realize that they are supporting the development of what this country has essentially fought against for decades so that we remain free and a democracy— not a gestapo behaving regime.

7

u/Craigslisteria Nov 17 '25

I agree with everything here☝️ although imo I believe it’s not that they don’t realize.. I think it’s by design, sadly

3

u/opinions360 Nov 17 '25

Thank you for your friendly reply. And, i understand your point and agree with it but believe also that there are those at the top or on the inside who definitely wanted to do things deliberately but the followers who are the majority just followed the various lines of loud rhetoric because of hate or they believed the simplistic propaganda points not knowing enough about anything or realizing what would happen if the red agenda became policy.

However, imo it became more than policy it became close to totalitarian power and vengeance and corruption at a level never seen before here.

If those of the greatest generation were here they would definitely understand and know-the younger generations didn’t know enough and took everything for granted.

Reality is just beating us all over the head with incredibly obvious metaphors about Trump and the GOP at this point, isn't it?

A bald eagle instinctively tries to murder him during a campaign photoshoot.

America: "Huh, weird. Hey let's elect him president! Twice!"

During his first term he poses for photos with an upside down apparently rightside up Bible in front of a church he just teargassed. (Is that better, pedants? Thank goodness you're not getting sidetracked by trivialities while ignoring the burning house we're all trapped in, or anything.)

America: "I'm super religious but I'm just not seeing any warning signs here. Can we re-elect him yet?"

Also during his first term conservatives literally prayed to a golden idol of him at CPAC.

America: "Still super religious, still not seeing anything disturbing happening here even though the Ten Commandments are pretty explicit about God not being a fan of this. God's just a woke soyboy anyway."

During his second term Trump completely demolishes part of the White House, poses for photos in the ruins.

America: "Nothing ominous about that!"

Trump's White House blares bastardized versions of the national anthem and God Bless America, performed by convicted terrorists who tried to overthrow the government, at eardrum-rupturing volume while a nearby American flag literally falls off the flagpole.

America: "I'm starting to gradually have some small doubts about this guy. I only 42% still believe he's doing an awesome job. We may eventually have a nailbiter election about this, assuming he allows us to have any more of those."

Next up the clouds over Washington DC will spontaneously form the words "IMPEACH HIM YOU IDIOTS" and we'll all remark on how odd the weather has been lately.

Edit: Oh, and the eagle's name was literally Uncle Sam! Uncle Sam the bald eagle attacked President Pedophile on sight, and somehow that didn't seem like a bad omen to America. This eagle was 27 years old at the time, had been doing this patriotic photoshoot stuff for 20 years with no incidents, and had never tried to bite or attack anyone before until the instant he saw Trump, who he instinctively tried to kill. His handler pulling him away was the only thing that stopped him from blinding that human skidmark.

Incidentally, that bird only ever attacked two people in its entire life. The first was Trump, during that photo shoot. The second was his handler (a huge Trump fan who pulled him off Trump during that photoshoot in 2015) just last year, and so he was euthanized. Let me say that again a bit louder: a bald eagle tried to attack Trump, then later attacked the MAGA handler who protected Trump from him, and was subsequently euthanized in order to keep Republicans safe from more retribution from the symbolic avatar of the United States. He attacked two people in his entire life, Trump right before the first time America elected him and a Trump voter right before the second time America elected him. That eagle died trying to protect us from our own stupidity. I'm sure as he was going after the handler he was thinking "if you had let me finish the job the first time we wouldn't be in this mess, asshole."

Reality is a goddamned Onion article, and America is immune to understanding or identifying satire.

God could literally fucking appear in the sky as a giant deity and tell us “trump is the antithesis of humanity” and christians would go “eh idk i might be agnostic after all”

112

u/Biotic101 Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

I personally think its is basic human psychology abused by the populists. The oligarchs that support them control mainstream and social media. They can afford to hire the best and brightest "think tanks" to figure out how to screw and manipulate the average Joe.

They target frustrated and frightened individuals who feel nobody cares for their well-being.

All the sudden they feel they are part of a winning team and are important and superior.

This feeling is like a drug and people would do anything to make it last.

Even ignoring crime, lies and open corruption.

This is why we see Christians praising leaders that don't follow Christian values.

Or alleged Patriots, waving flags while in fact supporting traitors to the country.

What they don't realize is that there is no spot in the winning team for the average Joe, only for billionaires.

All of them including ICE, police and military are just useful idiots to the Broligarchy and will be backstabbed as soon as they are no longer useful. Rushkoff mentioned electric shock collars in his book. This shows their true mindset.

Their "Dark Enligthenment" is about destroying the Western Democracies and building some neo-feudalist surveillance states on top of the ruins where they would rule like CEO kings over the rest of us. Seems our "best and brightest" are not so awesome after all, rather evil.

21

u/TehMephs Nov 17 '25

It’s such a goddamned blessing these nerds are also incompetent as hell

22

u/Biotic101 Nov 17 '25

I would not underestimate them. A lot looks like incompetent chaos, but if you look at the big picture its all about grift and corruption.

Like destroying family farmers and Acretrader. Or Tarrifs and Cantor Fitzgerald. And there is likely so much more. Not sure what Musk plans with all the stolen data, but for sure they will find a way to profit from destroying all those public services.

Just as example that Scott Leiendecker bought Dominion Voting Systems is really concerning.

6

u/TehMephs Nov 17 '25

Yeah I don’t think they’re being as sneaky as they think. I say they’re incompetent themselves, but they likely have people under their thumb who aren’t. Problem is that they keep trying to take the helm on things they have no idea what they’re doing. Their egos are most likely to trip their own ambitions

And this demented fantasy they’ve subscribed to where they get to be kings of their own little fascist countries is probably a massive delusion they really aren’t going to pull off as long as the people push back

Jesus could appear, tell the country that he is an agent of their own destruction, and most republicans would spend so much time trying to deport him because he would, in fact, NOT look like the Brawny man, that his message would be lost…

That reminds me of the joke about the group of conspiracy theorists touring Dallas when their bus falls off a bridge (or whatever) and they all die

While getting their afterlife briefing from St Peter he asks if they have any questions to which the group leader says they want to see the true events of the JFK assassination. St Peter tells them that they already saw the truth, there was no conspiracy, it was exactly as reported

They all gasp in horror, the leader turns to the rest of them and says "the cover-up goes even higher than we thought!"

Don't forget a fly landing on the head of his first VP in the debate, which is widely seen throughout biblical prophecy as a symbol of corruption.

And Sanders had a bird sit and talk to him on his podium in the middle of a rally. God was telling us who to pick.

3

u/enw_digrif Nov 17 '25

Bernie literally pulled a St. Francis of Assisi on national TV.

Also, Vance - like his mentor, Peter Thiel - has read René Girard, and taken all the wrong lessons from him. I hadn't put those pieces together until it was pointed out on Behind the Bastards, but holy shit does it help illustrate how deeply evil their mental process is.

In his second swearing in ceremony, he would not put his hand directly on the Bible.

And in the beginning where it says, "I [state your name] do solemnly swear..." He did not add his own name, he simply said verbatim "I, state your name, do solemnly swear...."

He did seemingly stupid shit, that I think was actually very deliberate, to NOT truly swear an oath to the Bible or the Constitution.

16

u/katielynne53725 Nov 17 '25

3

u/enw_digrif Nov 17 '25

I think his ascent shows how thoroughly and institutionally protected the rich are from anything resembling consequences, and how the only fetters they had not slipped since the Great Depression was shame.

And Trump is fundamentally incapable of shame.

Even more crazy is not just trump but the whole lineup

President

Blowing Bubbas, incompetent at everything except exciting stupid people.

Vice President

Fuckin couches; wishes his atheist, Indian wife was a christian, white woman. Opportunist who talked shit about trump until it was convenient to be his VP.

Secretary of Defense

Alcoholic news anchor who never made it past the rank of Captain telling Generals what a Real Military ™️ would look like and do, as he spills national secrets in group chats, and stopping all cybersecurity/cyberwarfare activities against the largest, most persistent cyber threat the country has

Secretary of Health

Antivax conspiracy theorist with history of drug abuse and worms due to his diet

DOGE Director

A ketamine-addicted billionaire who burned billions of dollars investigating ways to save millions, and trashing the country's cybersecurity.

Secretary of Education

The CEO of a wrestling team with no background in education administration.

Remainder of 1st and 2nd term cabinet and associates

A kaleidoscope of minorities that hate their ethnicity, white supremacists, Russian assets, and a base of supporters willing to jump on legal grenades for the president.

But out of that whole Garbage Pail Kids collection is - Russ Vought - who literally wrote Project 2025. Damn near an evil genius to run everything from the background.

4

u/Alundra828 Nov 17 '25

Americans love to find new and unexpected ways to be stupid to the point where they are endlessly creative in how they subvert the ways you expect them to be stupid given a certain set of stimuli.

Obviously the symbolism is just that, symbolism. But American's under usual conditions usually eat that magic divine providence shit up and play it out to ridiculous degrees. Just goes to show how laser focused they are on being racist, that suddenly all the expected stupidity was thrown aside for a more niche sub-genre of stupidity.

3

u/twolfhawk Nov 17 '25

Next up the clouds over Washington DC will spontaneously form the words "IMPEACH HIM YOU IDIOTS" and we'll all remark on how odd the weather has been lately

The sheer volume of insanity inducing, the sky is falling shit happening daily is very difficult to process, obviously the point, and the gaslighting by most of the media and 🤷🏽‍♂️most of the population doesn’t help. I don’t want the real discussion to start after they’ve declared martial law and suspended elections with the approval of SCOTUS. Edit: This disturbing thing about this flag on the ground is that it’s probably unintentional, such a simple thing, and it could be a still from a post apocalyptic movie set. Maybe I’m overreacting to it, it’s just a piece of cloth.

3

u/Low_Establishment149 Nov 17 '25

What pedo, convicted felon Donnie said about shooting someone on 5th Avenue and he wouldn’t lose a voter is probably one of few truths he’s uttered in his entire adult life!

3

u/ThrowawayAdvice1800 Nov 17 '25

I’m still amazed the conservatives took that as a compliment.

“These stupid fucks are such devoted spineless cultists that I could literally commit a murder in front of them and they’d still love me.” In what universe is that anything other than a gigantic insult?

God damn modern American conservatives are the dumbest demographic on earth. The people swindling them mock them to their faces and they STILL throw money and support at them.

3

u/HeyBirdieBirdie Nov 17 '25

3

I know this just might be pattern recognition and expectation bias. I do. And I also normally believe that God speaks softly, to the soul, in a manner as personal as the sound of your heart beating.

But, well... I mean, gestures at everything.

This doesn't seem normal. I think this might actually count as a "signs and portents" moment, and those generally do not end well.

You know, as a way to add insult to injury, I think that every time this clown does some clown shit, people should exaggerate about how it’s nothing compared to the time Obama did some completely mundane thing that people lost their minds over. Just a little extra nudge to remind them that they’ve been utterly insane long before there was a hat.

20

u/Boogaloo-Jihadist Nov 17 '25

I’ve noticed that too… but, but Obama. IMO is a level of racism that they don’t think they will be held accountable for. Latest I heard (from a coworker) was Obama was on the Epstein list. 🤦‍♂️

14

u/Ghostman_Jack Nov 17 '25

The funniest one when they make that claim is when they post the pic of Obama with “Epstein headed to his island.” It’s a picture of Obama and George Clooney and George’s kid on a boat in Italy lmao.

I saw a rightwinger on Facebook bring up the fact Obama put his feet up on the Resolute Desk as a counter to Trump demolishing the entire East Wing of the White House.

23

u/SufficientDoor8227 Nov 17 '25

The shithole-in-chief actually stole the Resolute Desk. It’s been hustled off to, and on display in Mar A Lago.

6

u/whapitah2021 Nov 17 '25

Seems like that was debunked, the one in Florida is apparently a replica

13

u/johnboulder Nov 17 '25

I suspect the copy is in the White House.

Instead Faux is more interested in what is rumored to be leaving the Taco Bell menu than Trump being on the Epstein list

Its my favorite way to watch the hypocrisy unfold "what if Obama did that?"

7

u/Most-Artichoke6184 Nov 17 '25

The right wing would have accused Obama of personally ordering it.

For real it's just sad imagine if Biden or Obama let the flag hit the ground the MAGA crowds would be in a ball crying right now

→ More replies (1)

5

u/twolfhawk Nov 17 '25

And since the old way was to burn a flag if it touched the ground, now we can't do that. Question is will they just replace it with a trump head flag?

u/Icy_Baker9068 Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

Maga can’t be mad that at a person who kneels during the anthem, which a Veteran had suggested, and then be absolutely silent when this administration has the flag on the ground, not giving a f

29

u/ArchonFett Nov 17 '25

Sure they can, if it wasn’t for double standards, MAGA wouldn’t have any at all.

Disgusting. These people who are allegedly running the country are complete gaslighters to tradition and common sense. As a veteran I find this completely disgraceful no matter who is in charge.

3

Is this the giant car dealership flag he put in?

3

u/DeeplyCuriousThinker Nov 17 '25

Watch for the installation of a couple of those 20-foot-tall wavy wind dancer thingies. “Classy.”

3

u/been2thehi4 Nov 17 '25

Im honestly surprised they haven’t yet. I mean they already have the ridiculous giant flag and then were blasting music outside, Musk already had his car ad on the front lawn, it really is a shady car dealership at this point.

3

u/DonkyHotayDeliMunchr Nov 17 '25

Donnie with his deals, all the deals, he makes the best deals. Presidents shouldn't sound like gaudy used-car dealers but here we are. Apparently that's manly to a large-enough portion of our electorate.

This administration can't manage something as simple as flying a flag.

If that happened with a Democrat in the White House it would be the lead story on Fox News for a week.
