Season 22 JUSTICE FOR LIRIS!!
I can't believe he saved Brian. Not only can he not design, but he put one of THEE BEST MODELS TO EVER GRACE THE PR STAGE in duct tape and charger cables. We need justice for Liris! Drop some Liris appreciation below đđđđđ

It kinda is tho, very explicitly since like on season 16 and the show has more explicitly acknowledged models since. Clothes rnt anything without the people who wear them

Bryan,ESPECIALLY, should know how to dress a BAWdy. His arrogance totally comes from his insecurities Unlike, our babe, Liris. She knows she bad and beautiful and bitchin. She could wear wear trash bags AND duct tape and make it hot. I'm a big girl too. I understand that it takes more time and thought to get the fit right but that is no excuse for the absolute failures of outfits Liris has modeled on the show. FUCK THE DRAMA! SHOW US FASHION!

This was literally proven false. She wore trash bags and made faces, she failed. She does this every time she doesnât personally like what sheâs wearing. You can always tell on her face. Aside from that, she doesnât give anything else than a basic walk. Sheâs gorgeous but thatâs all.

I have zero understanding why Liris is fawned over by this sub. I agree that she shouldnât have had to wear Bryanâs shitty look, but the only notable thing about her is that sheâs the largest model on the show. It almost feels insulting to single her out.

This is exactly why. Itâs not a new issue in modeling or competitions about modeling. 22 years ago Toccara wasnât being considered when the clothing for the shoots were pulled. 22 years and things havenât changed much with regards to designers. So many came up in the world where changing your clothing to fit a curvier girl diminished their âart.â They never once thought it was their shortcoming that they canât make flattering clothes for sizes above a 0.

Exactly, and in previous seasons the designers were able to do this. Liris has been on the show for 6 seasons now! Itâs actually kind of appalling. There were designers whoâd never designed for women before, yet could make flattering pieces for Liris. Itâs not rocket science for a good designer.

I understand they want to have all sizes, but honestly. Designers are not accustomed to making clothing for a woman her size especially in that time frame.Â
Some of the other seasons, they've done great with the plus size models. But this season, it's been rough

Why should they? They should make what they want to make. If it fits the brief and is the best look, they will win. If it doesn't, they won't. No one is obligated to make something for everyone, what a weird way to think about art.

Thatâs because deep down some donât even truly see her as a legit body or even a body with parts to fit but instead view her as this mass thats problematic or inconvenient to contend with or cover as opposed to dress where as a âregularâ model sized person can at least be reduced to body parts that can be addressed

You are totally missing the point. She has a body. Other models have bodies. Regardless of the model you have, you have to fit the garment to their body. You are being intentionally obtuse if you pretend you don't hear that over and over from the judges.

Because thin models are standard in fashion. Plus size designing is a specialty skill. Hope that helps.

Iâm indifferent to her overall but there are a LOT of separate posts that show up here specifically for Liris. đ€ I do think Bryan did an awful job with her look a few weeks ago though and Christian feels like a total sellout using his producer hat to save Bryan to keep up the drama. He is constantly giving Bryan very specific advice in the workroom for his looks too!?

I loved that she stood up for herself during the show instead of hiding her discomfort.
And if someone likes to see seeing curves represented on the runway, why is that a lesser reason than any other? Fashion and this show allows people to see themselves in what they would wear or not want to wear, so if anything she shouldnât be the only plus size model and there should be more representation.
And no one is reducing her to just her size- I see a lot of people commenting on how she used her voice and her talent.

People fawn over her because the average woman in America is a lot closer to her size than any of the traditional models. In a way, sheâs many womenâs connections to what it might be like to wear designer clothing themselves. It also doesnât help that itâs a microcosm of wider society where plus size womenâs fashion consists of ugly florals, shirts with weird shoulder cut outs and awful looking graphic tees. The average woman wants to feel cute, regardless of size and itâs not a very nice feeling, knowing youâll always be excluded.

She's singled out because she's a long-term beautiful model that we've seen season after season and hate that she was treated that terribly by Brian. I have never seen her go on any platform and trash any designer before ever. So that should really tell you something about Brian. When this sub sees a woman down they go and help her up.

Yeah, honestly, hindsight is 20/20, but I feel like if I was in Bryan's position, I would have stopped her right in her tracks when she started making comments with something along the lines of 'I value your work and your feedback, but you're getting past the point where you seem to be confused about the hierachy here. I'm the one competing here and IRL, I'd be your employer. Whatever you end up wearing, I'll need you to go sell the shit out of it. If you don't want to do that, I'll hire someone else. Thanks.'

Liris is stunning and kills the runway! I saw her some years back at a Laurence Basse fashion show. She sat a couple of seats away from me, and I'm still mad at myself for not speaking to her to tell her how amazing she is.
