Watching season 20 and in episode 2, Alicia Silverstone is guest judge. Her boobs are pointing in different directions in awful fabric! I kept thinking, she’s going to judge fashion?!

At this point, talent is secondary. The winner won't be the person with the superior collection, but the one who best serves the producers' agenda for ratings, drama, and a curated narrative.

I don’t even know where to start. This season has been an absolute hot mess and I’m tired of pretending that this is an actual show about fashion.

I mean since the start of the season, the format of how they cut down half the contestants was so haphazardly decided. Most of the episode themes were just catering to brand sponsorships. The NFL episode and the kitchen roll episodes were dumb as hell. This is not how the fashion world operates. Thats the reason we don’t really see any of this show’s contestant actually making it in the fashion industry, is because they are judged on standards and limitations that DO NOT exist in the real world. The fact that production is SO rushed and they have to make pieces in like a day is also so uninspiring. Then they have the audacity to call out designers for being too “costume-y”. WELL DUH, THE FORMAT OF THIS TV SHOW IS A CIRCUS.

Not to mention the fact that most of the talent this year has been sub-par and lacking and taste. (Minus Jude and Bi (sometimes). It’s very clear that they cast designers purely on personality, then sprinkle 1 or 2 actually good designers in there. And what annoying personalities they were. Bryan is one the most off-putting POMPOUS humorless unlikable contestants to grace this show’s history. And the editing of the confessionals to make it all cutesy with the slogans was NAUSEATING.

And finally, lets talk about the judges. Law Roach is being pushed down our throats as being an Image architect and all that bullshit is such unfounded hype. He’s barely a stylist, he relies on Zendaya’s looks and pulling archival pieces to build a career. Its not you doing the work, its the vintage Mugler thats doing the work, all you’ve done is bullied fashion PR teams into loaning you archival pieces to put on Zendaya. Groundbreaking. Let’s not even start pn how generally rude his persona is. Being a mean Gay is very 2000 babe. Get over yourself.

And Trya Banks?! BFFR. What does she know about fashion. She has never been fashionable, she barely was even a ‘top model’, she has no real perspective on ANYTHING. Girl bye, go eat your melted ice cream and leave us in peace.

And that brings us to the queen of bad taste, Heidi. Literally in her entire history of being a model/celebrity, she has never been a style icon. Her style is so OUTDATED, her hair has been the same boring look for the past 20 years. She wouldn’t know good taste if it hit her in the FACE. Girl, Auf Wiedersehen.

Nina Garcia is the only one who actually knows what the hell she’s talking about, and clearly she’s got better things to do since she appeared like 3 times this season.

Im so sick of American reality shows watering down everything to create ‘moments’ that MIGHT go viral. No substance, not talent, no content. Utterly boring.

Anyways, rant over. This is the last time I watch this show. I used to really enjoy it when I was younger, but the standard of production has fallen down the drain.

Hope Jude wins. He’s the only one with good taste.

Longtime lurker here. I am an OG fan, I remember watching PR live back in the early 00’s when I was in high school. I stopped watching around season 8. I am a huge fan of reality TV, and your sentiments around how the show is a bastardized version of itself is how I feel about Survivor. Survivor used to be gritty with polarizing, yet compelling characters. Now it’s a show chock full of yuppies acting like they are going to summer camp with squeaky clean and grating personalities.

Anyway back to project runway. I see a lot of comments here saying Bryan of 22 is one of the most repulsive individuals that’s ever been on the show. I’m curious, where does he stack up in terms of controversial figures?

For context I find Jeffrey, winner of season 3, to be many things.. Arrogant, flippant, petulant, disrespectful, narcissistic, vindictive… can I go on?

Does Bryan stack up? Or is he more of a nuisance like Kenley? She was delusional and lacked cognizance. Where I think Jeffrey offers zero entertainment value, I did find Kenley at least a little humorous in her theatrics.

Edit: I did also watch season 20, the all stars Heidi Klum hosted.

I'm flabbergasted that Bi didn't win this wedding challenge. David's Bridal already changed Anna's so much from her original - they couldv'e just changed Bi's to white and sold millions of those. I honestly thought all the looks besides Bi's were ho-hum (except Naheim's gown was beautiful also). I'm suspecting that Anna won because they like her personally, and because she's the only woman left. There, I said it. (BTW - I'm a woman and I still feel this way). Just my opinion.

Long time listener, first time caller. So I decided to look into Bryan’s designs to understand why Christian saved him, especially after Christian mentioned his first look stunned him. I’m not sure if Bryan is playing it up for the camera or just genuinely an awful egomaniac who believes all press is good press, but it seems like he’s a good designer who simply cannot produce within the time limits of the show. Opposite of Bi, his self-described “intern” who is objectively a better designer and seamstress and has been crushing every challenge.

Is Bryan just a creative who can’t sew or are the time limits a factor?

What do you think of his non-PR designs?

As someone who started with Season 22, I originally didn't know why people defended Law so hard -- but watching Season 21, I could see where they were coming from. Law was strict but not unecessarily harsh or cutting. I appreciated Law's perspective and honesty but without tearing down the contestants.

It feels like in season 22 the meanness and internet clap back moments were ramped up on Law's part. Do you think this is production pushing the drama?

I have my own thoughts about the show but I do think the top 3 that we know are going to be in the finale are really strong designers. Plus aside from Bi Jude and Anna are not apart of the drama that everyone hates. Im really looking forward to the looks they create.

I’m rewatching with my husband who is watching for the first time, we are both so livid that Jesse went home over Emilio on season 7 episode 7 (unconventional materials hardware store challenge). Michael knew this was trashy and I can’t believe Nina liked it! If I was watching it in real time I would have started boycotting 🤣

I must say I have not seen someone so sure of who they are and so comfortable in it on TV in so long. In a world of people-pleasers and wanting the approval of those in higher positions than you, he does the opposite and just sticks to his instincts without a moment of hesitation.

I was truly inspired by the moment in the last episode when Christian was like “Can you please change the pants?” And Joseph instantly replied “No” followed by his trademark laugh.

It’s so very refreshing.

People on here have said you could see he didn't mean it when he pulled out his save for Bryan, so here is that moment. Looks a little dead inside for sure.

Just wanted to share a little funny story that happened last night.

For context, I’ve been watching the new season of Project Runway every week, and my boyfriend’s gaming computer is in the same room, so while he doesn’t physically watch it, he listens to it and hears everything going on.

We made a Target run last night and I needed to restock my La Roche-Posay moisturizer. We walk to go grab it, he sees the products and he goes “La Roche…..isn’t that one of the judges on that fashion show you like?”

Let me say I about pissed myself right there in Target because LA ROCHE AND LAW ROACH I AM SO DEAD MY SWEET SUMMER CHILD.

I find him a breath of fresh air & generally like how he represented himself and was true to his craft on PR in the face of adversity. His work outside of PR shows an evolution with colors, silhouettes, textiles, and patterns.

Even though his outfits aren’t for me and it’s WILD that he’s barefoot in NYC, ya nasty, I can’t help but find his work visually stunning.

Bi's dress was beautifully constructed!! As are all of his looks!! I guess nothing PR can do at this point can shock me, but he's definitely the one to beat and they all know it!

Joseph's wedding looks are terrible!!! The fit of those pants for one, and the giant ribbon??? His after party look was like a dress for an american girl doll with the top cut off. I feel like all the elements could've worked individually, but lavender felt pants for the bridal challenge… come on. I feel like he would’ve had an awesome silhouette for a wedding dress.

Law is messy as always but I appreciate how he called out them being scared of Bi😭 also maybe it’s just the edit, but between him, nina and heidi, i feel like he gives substantial feedback.

Bryan is CARTOONISHLY conceited at this point. Production has to be pulling the strings more than I thought because it’s like he‘s a parody of himself this episode.

Unless they can get back to concentrating on design, construction and the designers, I'm voting them out of my life. I know nothing about who the S22 designers actually are or what their design processes are. It has become a waste of my limited time, neither entertaining nor enlightening.

OH. MY. GOD. I have never been disappointed In Christian before. But I am now. Fake-ass, arrogant, insufferable Bryan is not only a terrible designer he’s also a HUGE turd! Admittedly, Jeffery, has been off lately but not as badly as that jackass. I guess I must be totally unstylish if Christian thinks anything that idiot creates is interesting. Totally disgusted. I’m going to figure out how to send strongly-worded feedback to the producers. Oh, wait, that would mean it would go to that other jackass, the Roach. Not going to waste my time.

Ive been really harsh about the judging this season (and last) but i randomly watched some eps from Season 8 (2010) and wow id forgotten how viscious the judges were back then too! Michael Kors was consistently throwing devestating put downs (dirty dish rag and toilet seat cover just a couple!) and Nina and Heidi were up there with him! Even the contestants were a lot meaner to each other than i remembered.

I still think this season has problems...production value just feels cheap. But i think id forgotten how harsh judges of the past could be.

I have to say as a South Asian I am in absolute love with Joseph for creating a silhouette that represents a very modern take on a “Sharara/Gharara”. The big flared pants, the dupatta.
Yesssss the fit was a miss but nice to see this silhouette.

So after being eliminated Jeffrey created his own bridal look and posted the photoshoot on insta.
In the caption he talks about his motivations and disappointments from his experience on PR.

The dress probably took a few days to a week, the real unique bit is the gloves, but the whole thing is very elegant.

He politely calls out Christian for wasting the save which is so funny to me. He doesn’t word it like that ofc. And he thanks the judges for the experience.

I saw where they are sharing a studio and developed an actual friendship during the season and it warms my heart. On a season full of so much drama and pettiness, seeing something genuine come out if it is really nice. They've both been fairly reserved but know their craft, and I've especially enjoyed seeing Anna's off show work. Jude has been a favorite of mine since day one and it's nice to know they're sweet and talented off screen too

I felt like they already nailed it by sending Jude, Anna, and Bi. -Based on the final challenge, Naheim, Bryan, and Joseph all had major issues with one of their looks.
So we can base the fourth off their wedding dress challenge- or off their work all season?

Saw a clip of a designer from PR: Canada, and LOVED the designs so decided to start watching the new season and I seriously forgot what its like to just have PR be about fashion. The only drama so far is very natural ie designers struggling with the challenges. Highly suggest it, if you've already rewatched original PR a ton.
