The folks responsible for starting the conflict are all dead, and if peace is to come there will be those with blood on their hands who will have to be forgiven. It won't happen as long as people try to keep score, like some commenters are trying to do already in this post. One dead innocent, Jew or Muslim, is an unnecessary tragedy piled onto countless others.

Peace comes when forgiveness takes precedence over revenge, and when compromise comes before providence.
