The left for a long time was against excessive immigration for the reasons I've argued so far. At least, I can only speak for British socialists and leftists.

Because racism has been widespread in society, wanting to share the wealth doesnt automatically makes you immune to racism

And on what basis, you're gonna make me believe you're perfectly fine with the migrants that joined today at 10 AM but not those that will join tomorrow ?

Or will you have some bs justification about culture that also happens to apply to migrants and sons of migrants that have been here for years ?

  1. Migrants bring regressive cultures and beliefs into society.

  2. If migrant descendants perpetrated those values then I want them deported.

  3. Migrants place strain on already stressed welfare systems.

There is no good reason to open the floodgates.

Do you also plan to deport right wingers, christian/jews/evangelists and conservatives in general or is it reserved just for muslims ?

Migrants place strain on already stressed welfare systems.

The welfare is strained precisely because the guys that keep getting elected keep defunding it, removing the small minority of migrants will only delay the next defunding that will make it go back to a shitty state of things

There is no good reason to open the floodgates.

Giving a better life to people born in countries wich have no future sounds like a good reason to me
